dsfeagle writes: absolutely a great game in my personal opinion. The graphics aren't state of the art, but thats something neglect-able when you take a look at the awesome PvP system, i've played many mmo's and haven't seen a game that comes close to what turfbattles has to offer PvP and PvE are connected with each other, it's hard to do one without the other. You have to PvE to get your gear/levels and you have to PvP to upgrade your gear (dus getting better at PvE) so your able to level faster/get better gear or get gear easyer to feed your needs while upgrading your gear Tue Dec 01 2009 4:41AM

Returning to Mario64 or GoldenEye007 and enjoying simple but good looking graphics that they employed. Even with the dated graphics, you will find yourself in awe at the scenic landscapes, and dark dismal dungeons. Newer content and the higher level armors look great and as updates delievered, players can expect even better graphics and improved environments. Controls: Easy, intuitive controls. WASD movement with point and click attacks. You can also use point and click movement. If you've ever played a PC game before, you know how to control and use your character. Sound: On the other hand, the sound in the game is actually quite impressive. The musical score in the background does bring a new sort of enjoyment in an industry of games filled with the generic poorly produced music that you see. The sound effects are pretty well-done too. Arrow shots let off the realistic "PLINK!" when shot. You can hear mom's home baked cooking when conjuring up a nice fire bolt and heals let off the melancholy sound when casted. It's put together realy well. Dungeon soundtracks are eerie and will wish you left the lights on while turf combat is greatly improved by the dramatic music in the background. Quests/PvE: There is a great variety of quests in the game, from the simple fetch quests to epic quests to gain new, powerful abilities and skills. While it may be hard at first to locate theses quests, not only are they all listed on the game's wiki on Aeria Games and new updates are expected to help players discover new quests. Plus new players are given a newbie quests to introduce players to the game. These NPCs will help guide people new to the game and get them a few starter levels as well as some equipment. Monsters are varied and you can expect to fight new ones every couple of levels. They are also have colored names to help players decide what monsters are good for their level. Crafting: Just about every monster and creature will drop certain amounts of materials and supplies used for crafting. From these materials, players can create a whole host of equipment, as well as various accessories, gems and potions. The special level 12 gear can only be gained by crafting them from special materials gained from higher level monsters. Player v Player: Turf Battles is very much a varied game and while players who enjoy PvE will find a great amount of enjoyment in the field and collect various materials and gems, the real enjoyment will come from the Turfs and the Tournaments that are a major component of what players found so entralling from the previous publisher's version. PvP action is fast and intense. While you can make a name for yourself playing alone, you will have to join a tribe to achieve true greatness. Additionally, each class has its own unique abilities and strengths. Conclusion: Turf Battles brings an awesome experience in terms of PvP. If you don't mind heavy emphasis on Player vs. Player, slightly more so than PvE, or dated graphics, Turf Battles is a great game for you! Wed Nov 25 2009 2:23PM

Worf writes: It is a DECENT game but being FORCED into Player Versus Player to get gems to upgrade skills ruined the game for this NON-PVP griever player. Oh you can level EXTREMELY fast if someone will party you and take you to a higher level area. You don't have to fight per se to get to level 100+ very fast that way. Great idea... Bad implementation! Tue Aug 11 2009 12:51AM
