This post is to the newcommers WHY you shouldnt play SRO [Silkroad online]

1. Joymax DOES alow botting. it is COMPLETLY unfair, and is only causing problems for other players. 

2. Joymax banns only 3 Different things.  they bann Players that DO NOT support joymax [Buying silk] . they Bann Player Bots that do not Support joymax. and they will bann only 1/3 of the Gold bots. [Gold bots are companys that raid joymax's game and collect gold and sell the gold to the players for ridiculous prices] .

3. Joymax has a area in their forum called "Player Suggestions" we make all the suggestions we want. but joymax NEVER uses them nor Replies to them.

4. Joymax's service is VERY low. they work only on how cool their game is [which they even fail there] , and the money that they Scam. [They scam players by doing something called server traffic. we spend hours and hours just to log on the game. and it forces us to buy their silk. with one of their silk items its called a "Premium". this premium ticket allows us to get in the game without putting up with server traffic. their silk is expensive compared to the price of pay 2 play games]

5. Rascism is HUGE  in the game.

6. there are soooo many jerks in this game.. joymax allows ksing.

ill stop here because there are WAY too many problems. id be going on for a while about the many complaints and problems there are.

will they bann ALL the bots?

it`s soo bad....., i was playing this game and i was impressed, but i`m glad that i quited  when the "bot armada apeared",  now i see that nothink has changed....... too bad, the game is nice but there are  too manny boters..... just toooooo manyyyyy.

It was a good game for free but now i can't even get on the servers.  Any of them let alone the only one i have a character on!

how bout the fact you cant log into a server once its been up for more then 2 months.

every two months you have to change servers or become a prefered player (PAY THEM MONEY)

because people using bots take all the slots.. get the BS, you can set up a stall in the game to sell your stuff, but you have to stay logged in the entire time (TAKING SPOTS ON THE SERVER)

the quest system is rediculous, sometimes they say "KILLS me 20 jang fu" .. there are no jang fu, it actually means for you to kill 20 Bambo .. but you wont get anyone to tell you or help you figure that out.. because most people you will encounter will be jerks.

9 outa 10 people you see outside of the city are bots.

9 outa 10 people in the city are afk

999 outa 1000 people do not speak english and are jerks.

the quests call for killing creatures, based on a last hit=kill , meaning that i can hit a creature one time and steal the kill from you even if you did 600,000 damage and i only did 1. i get the kill and you get  items it drops, so the auto bots and moochers actually make it so you level faster by not questing.... and the bots are a pain when you are fighting anything because they go in zones they can one-hit things and camp... for days-weeks-months...

in conclusion, this game engine and game are cool - characters/classes ect-- but it will agravate you so bad you will quit playing it.

on average it takes about 30 minutes to 2 and a half hours just to log in to a sever after its been up for more then 3 months. ( thank bots)

I played SRO from beta till its opening stage in Asia.

SRO is indeed 1 of the best free MMO games available in the market. Its also innovative and have a interesting storyline.

Like what the players have said Its a pity that SRO or Joymax did not take the effort to control and minimize the botting issues after creating 1 of the better games in town.

Many of my friends have given up and after paying occassionally to support the item mall and were let down by joymax being unable to control BOTTING issues which is the main reason for destroying and secondly Through inside infor, Some GMS are not really qualified. I guess some may be the players being hired and allowing their friends to bot.

Its a big letdown for a great game.

I will recommend this game to anyone who dun mind being playing with bots in the end.

Good Topic i was about to see how good this game, since my friend always pays me to buy his silk. (Since i got a credit card).

Nah there just selfish and greedy. Ban those who doesn't buy silk and don't ban those who buy silk.

Unfortunetley i would not recommend  this game to anyone. I quit a year ago, because of everywhere being overrun by bot, and KS's,  It's sad because as others have said the game is good i still miss playing, and do look into SRO forums and here to see if joymax have got there act together, but looks like there making  to much money from botters and gold sellers to do anything about it, it made me laugh how on the forums the GM's would say "we need proof of botting" all u had to do was log in (when you could) go out of town and there they are everywhere.

So to all who think this game looks good......DONT WASTE YOUR TIME!!

2Moons /SRO same thing. Bots every where and nobody (GM) do nothing. Same creap, same moneymaker, same idiot kids that steal the mamy card for buying Exp Boost or something else .

           Im back to my MarioBros. at least there i dont find any boot, any KS . And i can play like an angel in the hope that one day its gonna come out the perfect MMORPG free version !!!!

I'm amazed at the number of people that still play this game.  Ain't it a little old now?

Yes, I played SRO from the begining.. it was really amazing, nice grapics, music, sound effects.. story, it could be the best of all free2play MMO RPGs. Too bad that botters killed the whole game... I gave up this game at lv 78.. I never used any bots, and experienced that from day to day.. Takla makan was full of bots.. 3 ks-er bots at all spots... it was a miracle if u could see a mob more than 3 seconds.. ridicules.. I was leveling my character at lv 71-73 mobs even at lv 78, cause there was the only place where u could find spot for grinding.. that game is killed by its own creators.. congrats Joymax.

u all talked about the bots, lags, and boring gaming play, cause ther is no real quest system.. just grind grind... but no one mentioned the hackers... it is the paradise of hackers and botters,cause the game is full of security bugs.. I had friends there, thats the only reason I played this game. It was fun when u could do some jobs, not only just grinding, cause the botters are full of strong stuff, and u have no chance against them.

I lost the fun completely in this game when they allowd to attack the trader with 1 star cargo.. that was the point when they forced the players to pvp at all costs.. however the item drop is really bad, and hard to earn some gold.

The pvp is also unbalanced, cause the full int have no chance against a full str player in garment set, cause that player have 20 k HP ,and full int have 10 k HP maybe.. he gets 2 criticals and dead... however a full str sets auto potion to 80% and almoast unkill ablecause the magic attacks have no critical chance only the physical ones have... That is unfair.. If an str char can kill an int char with 2 crits, they should give the same chance to the int chars as well to kill a full str with 2 critical nukes..

Other case.. str vs str = potion fight

the one who run out of potions first will loose.. ridicolus

I'm actualy the Thread starter. that was my account from 3 years ago? but the info just exited my brain so i made a new one.

The game now is just more botters, FINALY hit 10th degree, has European chars and more.

The game is still a disapointment because now, for the users who didn't buy premiums to avoid server traffic. Instead of repeated logging in and being disconnected, they now have to sit in a LONG line.

Joymax introduced a new function called the "Auto-Login Feature". This now sits you in a line to log in. I have started playing the game again for about 3 weeks now since i quit my last game. I have waited from 5 seconds to get logged in, to 3 hours, to 12 hours, to even 24 hours!? Are you kidding me? This is RIDICULOUS. This just proves Joymax has no other way to get people to buy silk than do this.

This is a whole new low, even for Joymax.

Even better, get this. They made a Bot Detection program now. Guess what, it sort-of works. I have people telling me they were banned, but yet if you log on you'll see bots everywhere. As well as gold farmers.

It's 100% not worth playing unless you have ALOT of patients. Or money and you know how to bot...
