PS2 & PC Version Shutting Down

Come March 31st, 2010 the PS2 and PC servers for Phantasy Star Universe will be shutting down according to an announcement made on the official PSU website. New subscriptions to PSU on the PC & PS2 versions will no longer be available after January 29th, 2010. Not all is doom and gloom in Phantasy Star Universe news today, though, as the game will continue to live on through its XBOX 360 offering.

Expansion Announced

SEGA has announced in a press release that they will be launching an expansion to Phantasy Star Universe. The new expansion is titled Ambition of the Illuminus and will be available for download and in stores in the autumn of 2007.

Online Community Promotional Weekend

Phantasy Star Universe offers promotional weekend for players to join the Xbox Live Community.

Xbox Log On Error

SEGA, the company behind the MMORPG Phantasy Star Universe, has announced that there is a known issue for players who log on through their XBox 360s. When players experience an Interrupt Request Error, they should not retry, but should rather disconnect and try again. Phantasy Star Universe is available for both the PC and the XBox 360.

Beta Delay

The Phantasy Star Universe Beta, which was originally slated to begin today, will be delayed. No exact date has been announced, although it is said that the beta should "release very soon after".

XBox 360 Open Beta!

SEGA has just announced that Phantasy Star Universe will be entering Open Beta on October 11, 2006! Anyone with an active XBox Live account can download and join in!
