Hi all, Is RFO open to european players? Wiki says it closed it AS and EU servers but at the end of the article it says: On January 18, 2009, CCR, Inc. released the new Commercial Global servers. The two servers available are Novus and Dahin. A third server was opened called Solus on 27 February. So whats going on?

Not a bad game, but the sheer number of bots, all grinding non-stop, day after day, annoyed me to the point that I quit. Some areas you couldn't even grab a mob for yourself! |

Yes its possible to play RF, just go to www.playrf.com and download the client. As far as bots go yes there is but i see the GM's banning bots at the end of the weekend also so they are doing something. There is 3 servers: Novus, Dahin and Solus and Dahin and Solus have the better XP rate. Currently playing: Aion Played: L2 RFO EvE R.O.S.E EQ2 HellGate:London TRIBES2 WOW WarHammer |

I'm in the UK and on the Novus server. Somedays the game runs fine with no lag other days i get periods of quite bad lag. AFAIK this is being looked into as many players are complaining about lag and DCs whilst other players are reporting no lag at all. When I first started playing I was constantly DCing but now this is rare. ------------------------------------------------ |

In my experience private servers are prone to corrupt GMs and internal fall outs. I've lost loads of toons on various private servers. This being official gives me a reasonable amount of piece of mind that I'm not gonna have to start over anytime soon. Private servers wern't always all that up to date with the latest content either. Not wanting to tar them all with the same brush I'm sure there are good private servers out there but my past experiences have me prefering this release. ------------------------------------------------ |
