I don't like TSO, but I don't think its garbage....I still have it installed on my computer. However.....TSO is not a game, its a chat room with extra features. If chatting is your thing then TSO would prob be the best thing since yahoo, but for someone who is more serious about playing a "game" TSO is mediocre at best.

You have to keep in mind that this is a game were isntead of killing things and players, it is a community were you meet alot of people. To me, I find The Sims Online an enjoyable game were it gives me a break from the ol' Hack-N-Slash style RPG games, and I find it way better then Second Life. So this is a game that you either like it or don't like it.

I Say TSO is the first online game ive played i find it very social and for only people who like to socialize....this isnt a RPG where you slahs and gash crap but a place to acctually get to know your fellow sims or avatars... Even tho there is no Custom content maybe in the future but atm there isnt it still is great... YOU MAKE IT WHAT YOU WANNA MAKE IT The Sims Online Rocks

I talk to some of them on the phone even... I swear, had this been just an ordinary kill people, and steal their money game.. I would never have made the kinds of friends I have.. if/when this game is ever cancelled, I will be taking those friendships into other games.

I played this game a very long time ago, when it was just out of beta. Oddly enough, I played on the test server, called "Test Center" appropriately enough. The game was so full of life, and just about every player role-played their characters. I was 13 when I played this game and was elected as the servers very first, "Police Cheif" with about 150 votes out of 200. What a blast it was back then! I have to admit though, I'd be ashamed to admit it to anyone who ever mentioned anything about this old game in real life. Good times, thanks for giving me something to occupy my childhood with EA!
