dannydeuce writes: Very interesting strategic game. I have played this for a while and enjoyed it. The game has no legit end game content though. After 5 or so months you will find yourself doing the same dungeons over and over. Last content update with more areas was more than 2 years ago. Give it a shot, you won't be sorry. Swiftpain writes: I love this game. I wont give it a 10 on graphics... But the graphics are neat none the less. I love the sound of this game and calming music it has. I the value is really there... can't go wrong with 7 bucks a month. I find this game fun. If you don't love tactic games.. then this might not be the game for you. But it combines a great mix between grinding and crafting, with leveling as well. I love all the races and classes you can be. Its nice to seem a balanced game on that too. The community is the worst part of this game... but it just gets some getting use to when people don't speak english. Fri Oct 09 2009 6:24PM
avaera writes: Dofus is a beautifully stylish game with a quirky sense of humour and plenty of depth in its countless items, armour and weaponry. The bright, cartoony, almost anime flavour to the scenery and animations is quite successful, although the limitations of a game engine written in Flash mean that movement and interactivity can be a little clunky. The turn-based strategy of combat is well done with a nice mix of skills across all of the classes, and there are plenty of complex and fun other mechanics to play with like animal breeding, crafting and harvesting. I found the biggest drawback was the grind factor - everything you do is extremely repetitive and quite slow, moreso than any other MMO I've yet played. Still, given its low subscription and free trial area I'd definitely recommend giving it a go. Mon Jul 13 2009 8:09AM
JigsawJesus writes: Flashy Graphics, addicting gameplay, a decent community, and active wiki and forum make this free game a gem, and if it hooks you, the price to subscribe is much cheaper than other mmos (20$ for 3 months plus bonuses) Give it a shot Sun May 03 2009 7:47PM
redbran writes: Dofus was my first turn-based MMORPG and I'm very impressed. Graphics look awesome with every detail just right and with a huge graphics redo coming up, it will look even better. The sound is a bit childish in some place, but, in the long travels this game sometimes requires you, you appreciate it at times. This game offers crafting skills too, such as framing, baking, alchemy, and tailoring. It has more than that but that's just a few examples. The game is fun even if you play it free, but suscribing offers you so much more.Like mounts, the ability to create guilds, different lands to discover, and more dungeons to explore. It's fun and it's hard to get bored of it since every battle you have is different.Even if your tired of battling you can craft things. The community is nice though sometimes you will see some bots or rude people. Overall, I'd have to say this is definately a game worth trying. You might not have many customization options except the color of your character, but you have plenty of classes that can all work together and support each other. This is a great game and I suggest that anyone reading this should definately try it. jerrimaven writes: Love the cartoony graphics and the unique turn-based battle system, but the game suffers from a weak community (anyone want to explain parts of the game to me? Hello? Anyone? Oh, I see no one speaks English in this English-speaking server...), and since you can solo for about 3 levels, that's a major issue. Wed Mar 26 2008 9:16PM
Zreddna writes: Seems ok, but a bit childish. Should be free. Mon Mar 10 2008 5:29AM
Vanillatea writes: I played it during beta. One of the few turn-based MMORPGs out there. Unique classes but very, very little customization (like "pick a color for your class" customization) and graphics look like they were made with Flash. The downfall of the turn-base gameplay is despite the fact you get a timer, you will still have people who can't wait 20 seconds bitching at you to hurry up. I wouldn't pay a monthly fee for this.
