Kwismas Island Deployed

PvP Action in the Kolossium

Two New Classes Added
The Dofus team has announced that the thirteenth and fourteenth classes have been added to the game. Rogues and Masqueraiders have been added to the game after months of balance testing in the six year old title from Ankama.

The Rogues Announced
DOFUS devs have announced that a new lucky thirteenth class will be added to the world. The Rogues will appear in a new comic set to debut on December 15th and will be added to the game in April 2011.

Dofus and Wakfu Get a New Class!
As per a press release issued today from Ankama, Dofus and Wakfu will both gain the class; The Rogue. The Rogue is represented in the mythos by Remington Smisse and they will be providing us with plenty of Rogue goodness in the coming weeks with an online comic, as a playable class in Dofus, Dofus-Arena and Wakfu upon launch, and in the cartoon.

Frigost Expansion Now Live; Gameplay Video Released
Dofus saw the launch of its first expansion since Dofus 2.0 hit live servers last December today. This latest update to Dofus, dubbed Frigost, introduces new high level content for players in the 100-200 level range all taking place on the newly introduced whale-shaped island of Frigost. Frigost Expansion Arrives Tomorrow; Teaser Trailer Released
Frigost, the first expansion to be released for Dofus since the graphical upgrade introduced to the game with Dofus 2.0 last December, will hit live servers tomorrow. The new expansion offers content for high level players in the 100-200 level range, taking place on the whale-shaped Island of Frigost, where six unique families of monsters (39 new monsters total), four new dungeons, seven new zones, 100 new objects (including gear), 20 new Dragoturkey paddocks, and 300 new homes await players.

3.5 Million Subscribers, 30 Million Registered Users
Ankama Games has revealed that their Flash-based free-to-play MMORPG, Dofus, has seen 30 million registered users to date, and currently serves 3.5 million subscribed users according to a report over at Gamasutra. The monthly fee in USD is roughly $7 (6.74) which means that Ankama Games is bringing in $23.6 million per month from subscriptions alone! The French developer also revealed that over one million players log on every day, peaking at 250,000 concurrent users.

2.0 Now Live! 1.29 Still Playable
DOFUS 2.0 is now live! Well, mostly. The major update has been pushed to a new server called "Zatoïshwan" opened just for the update. The previous version, 1.29, is still playable for those not interested in making the switch just yet, though Ankama intends to encourage players to play version 2.0 with their existing characters in the near future. Ankama has also doubled the exp and drop rate on the new DOFUS 2.0 server to kick things off.
