The Chronicles of Spellborn News - Spellborn Reports Back from Korea

Posted by Keith Cross on Nov 21, 2007  | 4 comments in our forums

The folks over at the Chronicles of Spellborn have posted a recap of their showing at G* 2007 in Seoul, Korea.

Our developers finally are back and rested from the journey to Seoul, so it is time to recap Spellborn presentation to the Asian public. Although the event was, in our Dev's perception, a bit smaller than the last year, it still was pretty overwhelming. The booth of Frogster / Spellborn was located near the entrance, so everyone saw it when they came in, also it was one of the biggest and most impressive in the hall, easily noticed by everyone. Our guys over there where quite surprised that everybody knew Frogster already - Frogster Studios (which is the Asian branch) already made a name in the industry and recent Spellborn deals in Asia helped achieving it as well.

The demo ran fine, the public was enthusiastic and the booth was always very crowded with people. At times the booth was flooded by hundreds & hundreds of Koreans wanting some TCoS-memorabilia and doing crazy things for it. Sunny and Toine were busy giving the interviews to large Japanese portals, who all wanted to cover TCoS on their websites. Our Devs had some meetings with the industry-experts on TCoS and all of them agreed that our game has huge potential - they liked the graphics, gameplay, combat, etc. etc. The Dev team of Spellborn is highly recommended for what they have shown so far and potential publishers, the public or for that matter the entire industry is expecting TCoS to be a success!
