From and entertainment perspective of open-world player-driven, crafting, building, etc. Is it reasonable to think that Xsyon will be a good replacement game for Roma Victor?
If no, why. If yes, why. |

Maybe, not sure what the impressions are from those playing at the moment are. One thing you can say that is worrying is that the reason RV was held back so much was it's engine. The same guy who made RV's engine is leading Xyson development. If Jooky has learnt from his mistakes on the RV engine, then hopefully he can polish Xyson off to a level that RV didn't get even close to. The monthly fee rules out any chance of me trying it out in the near future. Commander Jim

I'm trying it. You can see alot of RV in it though, but then jooky [Project leader &lead programmer for Xsyon] was the main RV programmer. It does seem to be progressing slightly better than RV did, and I have hopes for it [crosses fingers]. But then again, I had hope for RV. I dont see much in the line of similar games [sandboxy] out right now, so I guess I'll be there until I find another that has the RV sandbox feel. |

I have my doubts about it being a good replacement. The prelude safezones are a massive problem for most PvP'ers, a crafters dream, but I'm gonna have to see how the safezone and combat mechanics development. Combat is shite atm, even in comparison to RV.
Damn Hopi are influencing Jooky too much. Commander Jim
