The first thing you really need to know is that stamina is by far the most important stat when creating your character. No matter what you want to do, I recommend an 80 minimum for stamina. It will make your RV life much easier. If you have low stamina, you would be best off to restart your character now before you have much time invested in training and skills. Request to be deattended. That will allow you to bypass the master quests, which can be rather tedius. If you are a Roman, go to The Baths section of the RV forums. There is a sticky thread at the top for deattending requests. If you are free (barbarian) there is a sticky thread for deattending requests in the Sacred Grove section of the RV forums. Next you may want to do some reasearch and find a guild. Almost every guild has a distinct identity. You can find all the guilds by logging into the RV website and going to the guild pages in the Participant Menu. Most guilds have their own sites you can check out. Also, it is a good idea to read through the forums to get an idea of what a guild is really about. Think about how you want to play your character, what you want to accomplish, and how you would like to fit into 2nd Century Britain. Then look for a guild that may be a good fit for your goals. It is very difficult to make it alone in RV, so being in a guild or socializing with a guild is almost a necessity. Also, don't be afraid to try another guild if you don't like the experience you are having. The right guild can make all the difference.
