I loaded the live version yesterday. The graphics and interface on NPCs and quest tiems to pick-up is a throwback but I'm trying to look past that.

This guy sounds like one of the announcers you'd hear at strip club lol. I'm with Bezado on this one, I didn't find it all that informative.

No offense Ripper but if your going to even start to review a game read up on what it offers first. I have never been one to complain except about Runes of Magic But this almost makes me offended to be a member of this site. Even tho you said its not a true review you sure made this sound pretty generic.

Yeah I agree nolic1 I am really getting ticked a site as entrenched into good MMO information and values lets this guys videos be posted here as news worthy. I mean I'm about to start going elsewhere for my MMO fix if they keep putting up crap like this. It's not conducive to the values of this sites informative reviews or 1st impressions we regularly use to see by qualified people who know what they are talking about and who doesn't sound like they are taking a dump while talking into a microphone. I can't stand this guys voice anymore and lack of knowledge of what hes trying to show us.

That's not a bad first 5 minute impression for EQ2.  The tip about shinies is a good one for noobs to the game.  Collections can help give you a little boost to start.

You should have at least mentioned the cash shop and how it fits into the game and also a few of the different account level restrictions, especially if someone is going in as a free player.

Please don't be offended at my feedback, because I think your first impressions have a lot of potential, but they could be just a little longer.  The presentation feels a bit rushed.  Slow down a little and add a few more interactions and important points.  Not saying do a whole review, just a little more variety.

I like seeing the game worlds and hearing the music though so that's a plus.  It's much better to see a little in game footage than look at screen shots or search for some random youtube video.

You don't right click in EQ2 like you do in other MMOs.  YOu LEFT click to get the same result.  Right clicking makes you have to click again on a choice.  Small but annoying.  You do get used to it, but after playing ANY other MMO, sometimes it's jarring to right click in EQ2 and get that stupid command prompt to click again.

I do not know if that is your own voice or if you are putting it on, but through fear of offending you, if it is indeed your real voice you should perhaps consider putting one on.

With regard to the video itself, I would advise you to play the game a little longer before you submit to your urge to tell everyone about it. As far as first impressions go you missed the opportunity to tell people so much more about the controls, the feel, the atmosphere, the click system (you don't RIGHT click) and a multitude of other things. Instead you ran around and did a quest or two, something the new player would do themselves with ease.

What would have been nice is that you inform potential players that it is a 12Gb download, and that they can start playing at around 2Gb and the remainder will continue downloading as you play.

If you want to see how its done go and look a Remotays reviews at MmoHut. I believe Remotay has even done some here for Mmorpg.com
