Gajari writes: Looks as good as anything else they've done in the longest time. Yes, boring, but the people that are really interested will like it. I've never been able to get to level 10 without getting bored of the game, though. Fri Sep 05 2008 8:50AM Report
redderick writes: Its the same thing, just somewhere else. Before they went to the skies and made temples..skip a few...then they took the temple, put it in water and added frogs. Hope the rest of the new items and game toys will be worth it. Fri Sep 05 2008 10:34AM Report
Spiritof55 writes: That trailor doesn't have me excited although I do sub to eq2. What will excite me is an announcement stating how eq2 will take advantage of current GPU hardware and not be heavily CPU dependant like it is now. Have you tried running eq2 at max settings with all shadows on? The game is horribly coded. From what I could tell only character shadows were enabled for the trailor. Fri Sep 05 2008 12:57PM Report
Ferakpsi writes: I played Eq2 for a few years off and on (now off, but have thought about going back) and that just doesn't have me wanting to go back at all. I stopped playing a few months before RoK came out and really enjoyed my time there. If I didn't have to move and re-settle I would most likely still be playing. I liked the trailers for their past expansions, but this one doesn't cut it, imho. Fri Sep 05 2008 2:03PM Report

mark90_2k2 writes: Veksar isn't the expantion, it was a free grouping zone added to the RoK expansion in GU#48 earlier this week. Admitedly, that video was rubbish and the zone isn't that fab, but the rest of the game really is awesome! Ive tried so many MMO's and I always return to EQ2! The shadow Odyssey, coming out in November, has very limited media out on it yet, but with all the world events happening in the run up to its release, it looks like it's going to seriously rival the RoK expansion. In particular, the chance for original EQ players to re-explore the lands of Norrath, post-shattering is a welcome addition to the already content wealthy game. Fri Sep 05 2008 9:11PM Report
smut writes: elstaf, maybe you should do your research first. Veksar will be in the expansion, the GU48 Veksar is a prelude, the full dungeon will be in Shadow Odyssey according to SoE. "This zone will act as a prelude to The Shadow Odyssey, with the entire dungeon opening up at launch. " Fri Sep 05 2008 10:19PM Report
smut writes: I would consider subscribing again if the go back to pre RoK content. Meaning not a 1,000 boring and repetitive quests like they did in RoK. Grouping used to give good xp and there was always a wealth of group dungeons but RoK was all about soloing to level up. The raid content is lacking, the itemization was horrible and still, 3-4 yrs later, the same classes are still gimped and not wanted on raiding for the most part. Theyre was a lack of any good group content, it was mostly all solo content. I'll play a offline RPG for that, I play MMos for the community aspect and grouping and that was sorely lacking in RoK. I hope they fix the Crusader archtype and a few of the other gimped classes and actually give them proper itemization. I like to solo, dont get me wrong but I enjoy group content as well so make it 50/50 so everyone is happy. I got so bored doing all those solo quest lines in RoK but it was the only productive way to level up. Fri Sep 05 2008 10:26PM Report

bahamut1 writes: Smut, the content featured in the movie is in game content. While more of the zone "might" come out in the next expansion, the video only shows what's already in game. This is NOT an expansion video. Sun Sep 07 2008 11:04AM Report

Vesavius writes: Guys, this is just a snapshot of a single dungeon... I don't get you all at all tbh. Waaaay to many of you with emotional axes to grind... time to just let go I think and try and be objective. Beyond this location, which is indeed partly already in game, the new expansion is so much more, but then the haters know that (i would assume anyhow... if they follow the genre at all that is), but they choose to put EQ2 down because it suits their agenda to simply blindly hate SOE for some imagined long forgotten past insult. The truth is the expansion introduces a lot of fresh thinking to this game, pushing it even higher above LotR and whatever as simply the best traditional fantasy PvE mmorpg out there right now. This game has a better community, more content, more polish, better lore, and a generally nicer feel then any of it's peers out there right now. SOE haters won't admit it, prolly cause they are STILL going all emo over SWG, but it is the simple truth. Btw, to Spirit, yep I DO run EQ2 at extreme settings smoothly, but then my PC isnt a Commodore 64... Wed Sep 10 2008 7:36AM Report

Vesavius writes: Teran, your obviously one of the baabaa sheep that feels he needs to be part of a 10,000,000 strong flock to be validated in your choice of game. EQ2 isnt for you. It will never be the most popular game out there, but that only matters if you judge a game's success by it's sales. That is if your stupid enough to consider a game a success if it has sold a lot. I, and many others, don't. We have our own criteria of everything I mentioned below. Playing your money game though, just for fun, tell me, plz, how many exactly SOE games have actually died? Now tell me how many games are showing profit. Enough of this schoolboy fashionable lazy cliche thinking plz. Lets get some adult objectivity back into the debate. Thu Sep 11 2008 11:55AM Report
