I along with many in my guild was hoping and praying the new expansion would have been Velious and if we were really lucky the Beastlord class. There is nothing in the new expansion that will make me or my fellow guildmates to return to EQ2.  Perhaps it is time for EQ3.

Do you own the expansion?

If so, how'd you get it so early?

So many people are confusing the content update with the expansion,  how or why I'll never know.

It always amazes me how rude the online gaming community often is towards one another.

One simply has to read the new expansion overview released by SOE to know that Velious is not part of it. I am sure that if it were a major continent like Velious with major dungeons such as Kael SOE would have most likely named the expansion after it (hence "The Ruins of Kunark") or at the very least mentioned it.

People, every time someone voices their opinion do not jump and make rude comments just because you disagree.

By the way, there are about 12 people on my vent server who agrees with me 100% and I am sure there are many who disagrees.

So many people assume things on these forums, how or why I'll never know? I know the difference between the forthcoming update and the new expansion because I READ!!

I swear you guys sit around reading posts just waiting for a chance to insert your rude comments.

Relax be nice. If you like the new expansion or the free guild houses in the update then say so. If you disagree with me you can say that also but don't be rude because I have an opinion.

Relax and be nice.

All I did was ask two questions. There wasn't anything rude to it.

You don't know everything in the new expansion, seeing as it hasn't been released yet.

And I have one person in my mind that agrees with me.

One person in your mind?

Because theres only room for one?

Is it a very small person...?

WOAH!  ... slides the coffee away from Marz.  Easy man. You dont like the content then just move onto another game or none at all.  I find more than none with mmorpgs people the arent happy with a game that theyre playing tent to pick pick pick away in the forums, and g-forbid that the developers listen  to every single demand it ends up ruining a game all together (not mentioning any past games *cough*)  I love eq2 how it is.  I know obviously you dont but you cant always get what you want.  /dance!

Remember how it used to be at release!  Amazing its been so long.  There are plenty of games out there to keep everyone happy, too many i think sometimes.  Regardless maybe theyll release what your looking for in the future.

It''s one thing to have a opinion, but enforcing one is unconstitutional.

Well i dont think they will do a velious expansion till maybe next year but still no reason to not like EQ2. But if only we could dream of a EQ3.

If you want to play WoW, play WoW.

If you want to play Everquest 2, play Everquest 2.

Actually EQ2's new expansion is not increasing the level cap. but adding 60 new Achievement points (skill Trees), 1 new overland zone (Continent) and 20 new dungeons with some scaling from level 50-80. The expansion is also adding more Heritage Quests ( Prestige Quests). along with new weapons and armor.

So in my opinion it is as good if not better than WOWS new expansion, and EQ2 gets a new expansion every year. WOW got 2 expansions since release.

It's amazing how people can judge and put down something that they have not played yet...

Didn't Velious get melted? All those ice dwarves and gnolls probably drowned man they arent there anymore. But you can go play EQ1 and Velious is still there. With ice dragons and giants. The Kunark expansion was good. The Shadow Odyssey was great for raiders. This new Odus one is probably not for raiders. Looks like it's for PVPers and solo questers. But there have been 3 raid zones added to TSO since it's release and casual raiding guilds will probably still be doing them and even Kunark raid zones. The teamwork in the raids is fun. Why does it have to be Velious to make you happy? A good game is a good game even without glaciers and frozen cities.

Explore up to 90 levels of breathtaking content in more than 300 expansive and dangerous environments both new and nostalgic. The level cap is actually being raised.

# Two expansive new overland zones to discover, The Sundered Frontier and Stonebrunt Highlands
# 12 new dungeons to battle through
# 400 new quests based on the legend of Odus
# Five new Heritage Quests with valuable new loot
# Over 2,000 new weapons, pieces of armor and items
# All new alternate advancement abilities to expand your arsenal of powers
# Hundreds of new dangerous and cunning creatures
