Just look at how Vanguard has had many of it's unique features taken away and replaced by features very similar to EQII. It seemed to me they were turning Vanguard into EQ2......The game has been dumbed down, its more solo friendly, and soon it will have a starter/trial island.......It looks like it is following the same patterns that EQ2 has the past couple of years.....Im not really sure why they bought it if they were just going to make it another EQ2.......I think vanguard had the potential at one time to be the next EQ3 but got squished somewhere betwen beta 2 and 3..........

EQ2... as much as I love playing that game (3.5 yrs). I can tell its getting weak, its past its prime. From what I know it had a bad launch and has been the second place under wow since. VG was even worse as I was there for that too. Virtually the same game, perhaps better graphics and bigger, but empty and much more buggy as well. If SOE (I know they didnt make VG) makes another MMO that is fantasy elf, orc, dwarf etc. They need new innovations that will give players a reason to break from their current mmo. The old EQ2/WoW cookie cut just cant attract the gigantic base that everyoine hopes for. Graphics are not enough. I think a release of EQ3 would be .... even worse then its would be predecessor. And for godsake name it some else... its just time to move on.
