If women don't find you handsome, they should at least find you handy.

Couple of things that are missing from the game.

  1. Danger - bring back trains to zoneline and angry mobs that don't break encounter.  Trains add communication, rivalry, and possibly newfound friends.
  2. Quests - Make meaningful quests.  I know it's called Everquest, but that doesn't mean they have to be mindless.
  3. Rewards - Better quest rewards.  I'm tired of getting small amounts of XP.  Give me a nice item that is lvl appropriate for the quest lvl.  Currently, some quests give out items that are lower lvl than the quest is.
  4. Race/Class specific gear and spells - Go back to EQ1 style race/class structure.  This makes it easier to create armor sets since you don't have to create an item for every single race.  It also allows for more unique items.  EQ2 is so blah when it comes to armor it all looks the same practically.  I understand this bullet can also create imbalance among different races and classes, but it's worth it in the end.
  5. Less instancing, bigger zones - Instancing is great, but it takes away from the community.  For instance (no pun intended) more non-instanced dungeons where areas are camped similar to Karnor castle of EQ1.  I always feel alone when I head into nek castle or other instanced areas.  Even though there are other people doing nek castle at the same time I can't see them.  For me it makes me feel empty since I primarily solo.
  6. Better use of the realestate, cut out seperate districts in Qeynos and FP - Some of the city zones are almost unused yet the city is huge.  Combine some of the city zones and make them smaller.  Also do away with the seperate districts.  This goes back to the feeling alone in the game.  If all the districts were combined you would see and meet a lot more people than how it is now.  Same goes for some of the outdoor zones.  There are so many areas of the Commonlands, Nek Forest, Antonica, and Thundering Steppes that never get used.
  7. Meet the rulers of Qeynos and FP - allow players to meet their city rulers.  Kind of annoying I am pledging myself to them, but have never seen them or been able to interact with them.

Just a few things, but there are many many more.

I love your ideas, while I love what S.O.E. has done with Everquest 2, there is definantly room for further immersian and better use of zones. Bigger, more elaborate and explorable zones would be ideal. They definantly need new armor appearances, re-skin a bunch of them, hire people who can design fitting, attractive, diverse equipment.

Go to the official forums and post this there! :)

Playing: Star Wars: The Old Republic, occasionally TERA.

Waiting For: Guild Wars 2, and Elder Scrolls Online.

I like your ideas very much.

I would also like to add some things that I want improved. The character graphics are great. But the rest of the world is flat, bland and uninspiring(pre-eof zones mostly). The performance is also bad. A friend took his new computer to me and we tried EQ2 - He got low fps in Qeynos on highest possible settings. and his computer aint some bugdet comp. its 2gb fast ram, 8800gts etc. I would also like to see INVIDIDUAL animations for each race. not the same damn animations for 90% of the races. Hows the skeleton revamp going? are they about to finish it soon or have they scrapped that idea completly.

I definatle agree about the quests, 90% are just a shopping list of stuff to kill or collect

But I really like the instancing, I'd like to see more of it.  I hate having to deal with camped areas that are packed with people trying to kill the same thing.

Hmm...I definitely agree with #2 and #3 as that would make this MMORPG game that much better.
