Hello everyone, I bought a digital copy of The Shadow Odyssey yesterday and patched  it while I slept. Today after I got home from school I was excited it was ready to play, so I proceeded to start the game. But when I hit play the screen went black and a different mouse cursor came up, so I figured everything was going good. But then it went back to my desktop and the EQ2.exe went away out of the task manager. What is weird is when it does that only a box in the top left corner about half the height and width of the monitor is the desktop, the rest is still black.

I appreciate any help given.

I've only been playing a little while but from what I've seen in the tech support area, the eq2 support reps appear to be on top of most stuff. 

Chek if you are running EQ2 as the administrator if you are using vista or win7 , usually those OS' can cause the client shutdown on launch if you dont give EQ2 the privileges it requires.
