I came to EQ2 from NWN2 we are able to sit down and lay down for over a year why cant they let people in EQ2 do the same ??? I play on Antonia Bayle a roleplyer server and we would love to be able to sit in chairs like normal instead of kneeling down all the time. I cant beleive they cant allow players to sit or lay down yet, How long has this game been out ?? that is the one thing I Hate about EQ2 everything else is Great I love this game. Norrath is HUGE, this is a True game WORLD. So much to see and do.

And what did people say when you posted this on the official forums?

 Yes it was a year ago but this post made me lol. So your idea of a fun game is to be able to log on to a character and watch that character sit in a chair or lay in a bed? Get a Chia pet and watch grass grow. 

It would be nice to be add in some new animations and emotes. However,  the overhaul might prove a bit daunting for the devs, I think. Being a female, I tend to enjoy aspects of the game that are often overlooked by the mostly male devs. Sitting, lying down, dancing (prettily), and otherwise posting my character for screenshots is one of the things which I enjoy. On the whole, EQ2 has offered more enjoyable experiences for players such as myself, though. So, while I still hope for improvements in the emotes, I am overwhelmingly satisfied with the game itself.

From my understanding, they did add the /sitchair emote a little while ago. I don't know if it works or not though. Hope this helps a little! 

Yes they did add a few commands to address this although I am unsure exactly how they look.
