On the pvp servers can you gank anyone or is there level restrictions? Also, which caster class is the best for pvp ganking (1v1)?

There isn't one. We don't want your kind in EQ2. If you want to run around ganking people, go somewhere else more to your style.

Ganking has nothign to do with pvp. It's basically you getting your rocks off by killing someone who can't defend themselves. Let's call a spade a spade.

Still, nothing wrong with that if the game supports it. Lineage 2 is like this.

But what you are essentially asking is "what class can I take people out who will never have a chance against me. You can make your own value judgment on that.

As far as EQ 2 I do think there are level limits to who you can kill if memory serves me correctly. So just level a characer to a "higher" lvl and then kill those who are a bit lower.

As Sovrath said, there's a difference between ganking and PvPing. Ganking is being a bully. PvP is playing on a fairly even playing ground instead of hiding in corners waiting to bully the people around you like one of those little kids everyone hates from school.

Can only be a WIZ or WARLOCK then if caster only

I am all for playing anyway you want if the game allows it. However if this is what you want from EQ2 then you will be disappointed. EQ2 is a more mature crowd and even on a pvp server ganking will be frowned upon. You will have the reputation for ganking and no one will want anything to do with you. The pvp play is not suited to that type of game play. Don't waste your time in EQ2 if that is what you want to do. Stick to Lineage 2 or WoW.

With almost 10 years of mmo experience I have noticed most gankers are not to good of players and usually lose in a leveled fight that is why they gank. They tend to work in groups, like childish bullies in a playground. If a game allows it go for it. Not sure how you find that fun. I also think this post and it's title is just to get EQ2 players worked up since most people know EQ2 is not that type of game. I wonder if the OP really even plays EQ2.

Do any casters have invisibility spells or stealth abilities? I really want to play a class that can cloak even if I am unable to cast or move while cloaked.

I am thinking of going coercer because supposedly they get some love in the next patch. They have invisibility as well. Cant wait to gank me some noobs.

Ganking innocent nooblets is the only reason i play MMOs. That is true 'end-game' fun.

EQ2 has level restrictions on PvP that vary from zone to zone.  4 to 8 levels is the norm, though the PvP range is Unlimited in Kylong Plains for some reason.

Also, PCs are not flagged for PvP until lvl 4.

In short, a high-level toon can not initiate PvP against a lowby.
