Yah its just that i think that most people who do that hype-meter need to learn to put more then 1 words down a hype becuase it does not tell us what you think it tells us how imputent you are. I come from the coldness of everystep you take im a shadow of evil in your presence be afraid! |

i played eq for about 3 years but i have to say it was a fun ass game. the only downfall now is that the graphics suck and everyone is high lvl. eq2 will probly be great cuz the same concept but good graphics and there wont be such a gap between low lvls and high lvls. im looking forward to it.

I played EQ for 4 years and enjoyed it for a great deal of that time despite all the problems with the game. I eventually quit largely due to how extremely badly SOE changed the game. A great deal of what they added and took away made most of the goals in the game pointless and boring. So due to the fact that SOE will be running EQII, I will not even consider the game. I think a great deal of the consepts behind the game are sound and could be enjoyable if done right. However with the track record of SOE it is clear they will NOT be done right. It seems to me as if alot of the people who have spoke against EQII have are doing so based on thier experience with SOE as well. |

I too find it very annoying. I just hope all those people that feel the need to flame the game dont buy/play it. Unfortunatly they probably will end up playing it, since once again EQ will be the standard in fatasy based MMORPGs.

Calm down, it's just a hype. The whole game isn't going to end. If anything, the fans will want a low hype so the less people buy it, meaning the servers will not be as flooded or cities as jammed. For me, i gave it an 8.5 for great graphics, (seeing how it's EQ) good content, Talking NPC's, but the combat is still lame. Call me crazy, but didn't a game with great graphics but boring combat also do bad? *cough* Lineage II *cough*. Anyways, hopefully this game will turn out good because it's our best hope for a good MMORPG.

If you think that EQII is the best hope then perhaps you should check out the new project in the works from Sigil Online Games. A team made up of the core of the creators of the original EQ.

Yeah sure, Vanguard could be great, but its in early development. It won't compete with EQ2 until EQ2 is well established.
