So will this game ever come out for the US?? It looks like a very good game but it would be more fun if it was all in english. |

maybe it will come out, maybe it wont, i think the real question is whether people on this forum have heard about DF. It will become a great MMORPG where anything is possible, and you dont half to worry about linear gameplay or "zones" which is what makes up for 99% of what huxley is. But to make my point valid, huxley just doesnt look that great, it took some good graphics, and basically downgraded what planetside "used to be" and made a game with fancier shooting and worse gameplay/amazingness. Its truly sad that any MMOFPS could be made like this after planetside came out. I guess unless planetside2 ever comes out, no MMOFPS will ever dethrone it. too bad, oh well back to loving the possibilities being endless on darkfall. |

I saw a lot of pics there, but realistically,do any of those back drops interact with players?Or are the buildings just there to fill in space?I see this all the time in cheap console games and even cheaply done PC games, but if they want respect from gamers that know what it takes, they better have done more work than making some squares and sticking a texture on it. I want to see buildings with elevators/lifts /doors that open and close, there are many other subtle touches you can do,that don't even take a lot of work.I can teach a noob mapper how to make plain buildings fill in an area,in about 1 day. I will back this game a long way, because i love the unreal engine, and i sort of like the ideas of Huxley, but if it looks like amateur developers put it together, then it hits the vapourware heap for me.The bulkiness of some of those player models ,look like they were actually ripped right from unrealT,with new textures pasted onto them,IDK maybe i'll give them some credit and assume they built those models themselves. |

Okay, just to put this in perspective, you're a big Darkfall fan. Talking about vaporware. Glass houses, stones, etc. |

Don't think UI localisation should be a problem technically . Given it would make the game playable for non koreans! |

I beg to differ, as much as I would like to agree. Do your PC and PC games support 4 player split screens for online and offline multiplayer? Didn't think so. Do you feel like carrying your updated hardcore desktop everywhere you feel like doing some lan crap? Didn't think so. I'm sure there is a program out there that some punk made for the hell of it that would actually split your little 10inch monitor screen into 4 squares, while a hack to play more players in your bf2. Yeh... I'd love to go through that trouble.
The whole 4 player split screen argument doesn't work since none of them support 4 player split screen anymore(except Halo). Besides, who cares about 4 player split screen when you can play against much more people online? |

Meet people from all over the world... then kill them. |
Split screen is for screwing around with random friends. It's Wii stuff. Try it without the cocaine sometime and you'll see how dull it really is. You're rarely going to find yourself playing alongside or against skilled players, if that's what you want, and if you aren't very skilled you won't be with a variety of players so you can find a niche and learn. It also removes sound effects from the experience along with any chance of satisfying stealth activity or surprise attacks. Judging from the video, Huxley will be right at home on a console. I had hoped for a modern, polished, perhaps even fun answer to Neocron; an MMO that happens to be 1st person and where you might find yourself fragging around, if the situation calls for it, with the benefit of graphics and netcode that can actually support twitchy gunplay fare. This looks like a standard Korean MMO, complete with wrong footstep animations and comic book tough-guy avatars, that turns into an FPS once you leave town (i.e. teleport to a jungle somewhere), no doubt by virtue of a forced conflict centered on progress bars, a scoreboard, and let me go out on a limb here - a glowing, arcing nuclear reactor floating three feet above the ground, because where else do you keep a floating nuclear reactor? Watch out, when that thing blows it's going to take out a chunk of Neo Seoul bigger than your kitchen. I'm reinstalling Neocron right now. |

This means nothing, name me one mmo in the history of mmo's that doesn't have people bashing it. Now if you said something specific like " koreans bash huxley because its not a L2 clone like Aion" or something, maybe we could discuss something. I've played Huxley and its a good game, when I can play an english version and test end game content ill know if its a great game. |
