You start out with one set of clothing, one little training rod and no money. However, there are many players willing to help you out in your first few days on Oz World. There are also players called Elves and it is their job to help newcomers and uphold the peace. If you just use your manners you will find that people are extremely helpful. Do not shoot this game down because it takes awhile to level up or takes awhile to gain gold. Give it a chance and you can meet new people and experience a game like no other.
