Sword 2: Revelations News - K2 Network Teams with SwiftCD

Posted by Keith Cross on Aug 06, 2007  | 1 comments in our forums

K2 Network has announced that they have teamed up with SwiftCD to provide an alternative to their downloadable game format, with Sword of the New World: Granada Espada being their first title to also be released in this format.

Atlanta, GA (August 6th, 2007) - SwiftCD (the leading provider of on-demand DVD-ROMs to the games industry) and K2 Network have partnered to create on-demand DVD-ROMs of popular K2 Network Downloadable games. The new DVD-ROMs are available in addition to the existing download options; K2 Network customers simply pay a shipping fee for the DVD delivery.

"Due to the size of the download of online games and the variety of systems people use, some customers have issues and need an alternative," said Jeff Lujan, Vice President of Publishing at K2 Network. "SwiftCD gives us an end-to-end solution, comprising the ESD as well as on-demand production and shipping of DVD-ROMs and we do not have to deal with any in-house duplication and can concentrate on our area of expertise--online. "

"For those who prefer it, a DVD-ROM is now available for delivery of K2 Network's MMORPG Sword Of The New World," said Jason Foodman, Chief Executive Officer of SwiftCD.com. ", With more than 10 million gamers in over 100 countries, K2 Network is a leader in the world of online gaming. We're thrilled to have partnered with K2 to help them extend their reach and grow their business."

Currently the Sword Of The New World: Granado Espada demo is available for both download and for DVD-ROM media delivery at www.swordofthenewworld.com. K2 Network plans to roll out the DVD-ROM offer to its remaining MMORPG online titles in the near future.
