Skeeterxi writes: Funcom is turning this game around nicely and the expansion looks good but why are they letting Erling hype it up for them. The majority of people burned by the release of this game have 0 trust in this guy. Fri Dec 11 2009 1:14PM Report
CujoSWAoA writes: The our long live demo they did was fantastic. Expansive wide open zones, with caverns that you can just walk right into... no loading times or instancing. They're really making a good product here, Godslayer looks like a completely different game from the Original product. Fri Dec 11 2009 5:21PM Report

Sky.Falcon writes: looks good from where im standing. I always thought AoC was a massive upgrade to MMOs as a whole and very much groundbreaking indeed. I think the only thing that made funcom "Failcom" is the fact that they released there game to early and now they have to try to win the players back. In conclusion I believe that if it is possible to win the old players back into the game, then it will be with this Xpack. Fri Dec 11 2009 7:29PM Report

Malkosha writes: If they pull off a smooth release ... like they did with the AO expansion even though that game had a bad release ... this will be the MMORPG to play. No elves. No orcs. No fairies. No Jedi's and their force crap. Just heroic men and women from an age undreamed of doing battle against the elements and each other in the classic "sword and sorcery" fashion. In the end, blood, boobs and gore > elves and flying fairies with light sabers. Can't wait! Fri Dec 11 2009 10:57PM Report
artemisentr4 writes: If the original game launched with these type of play fields, it would have been a much better game. The expansion has potential, but is it too late? We will see in a few months. Sat Dec 12 2009 12:40AM Report

AI724 writes: i'm very tempted to play this expansion since it is in Eastern settings. I have the AoC original (won the game from the giveaway on this site :p ) but i never subscribe the service after the 30 days free play ended. Lets see what kinda deal they will put out when this expansion arrives if it's good... i'm seriously considering. Sat Dec 12 2009 5:08PM Report

Terranah writes: The initial release was a rip off. Give me another free month to see if they fixed their game and maybe I will play it. Otherwise, plenty of other games to spend money on without being suckered once again. Sun Dec 13 2009 12:18AM Report
Sinsation writes: Sure, it looks nice. But that's what sucked me in the first time around. I dig the fatalities and everything but the major questions are: Are the instance encounters fun? Are the classes balanced for PvP? Are the mini games going to be more fun? Does the UI / item icons look like shit still? Is the market decent? These are the major things that will have to be addressed before I even remotely think of giving Funcom another chance. Because right now they're still on my blacklist. Sun Dec 13 2009 2:55AM Report
Preacher26 writes: The game has seen vast improvements since launch, the current servers are very active, the pvp does need alot of work which is not happening with this expansion. Pvp minis need to be cross server with larger scale options, new maps etc. I've been here since launch, great game with so much potential... playerbase is solid for the current servers but still lots of work to do imho and worried about the resources being shifted to their new game! Deadman87 writes: Hanging the guy hired to promote a game (albeit though controversial) is such classic mindless mob behaviour. It's not like himself wanted AoC to fail in the eyes of the fan now is it? The whipping FC took from the 'fans' has obviously forced on some drastic changes onto the developers, when seeing all this great new content that keeps getting pushed out the door. If FC survives the coming years, the lashing they got has only done them good imo. They strive for regained approval amongst those they have dissappointed, and it's good to see. Lunewhite writes: I am a massive MMo player i play WQ2 wow Vangaurd Aion FFx AOC was breath taking and the game was fantastic until i had 4 lvl 70s in 4 weeks i make healers casters scouts and tanks so i can play a role needed if a group is short. At lvl 70 there was nothing to do the battle seiges were so laggy you couldnt play and have fun the content at 70 was also 0.00001%.I absolutly love the game the pvp controls and the gfx plus the small story it had while lvling upto 70 i realy hope they took intrest in what pro MMorpg players had to say about there content that was the only reason i left i dont like raiding i do it but thats 5% of a MMo to me the other 95% is finding things doing quests that can be solo done. All quests in MMos should be able to be done solo this is a good trend raids for grouping and some realy hard instances.I belive that good rewards for long quests that could take a solo player all the way around the world for 4 weeks learn languages become freinds with hostile tribes gain faction is very rewarding and also you gain a love for your charecter.I found i didnt associate with any of my AOC chars for the simple reason ypu didnt spend enough time doing things and gaining rewards for solo adventure. If AOC has adressed these issues then it will be the best MMo out there if not it will be closing its doors in the next 4 years this is there last chance because people like me will give it ago if it is a fail i wont try another exspansion. This is actualy more important than there launch of the game if they mess this up its GAME OVER!!. cerebrix writes: pro mmo players? only person i can think of when someone says that is the fat blob guy in that south park episode. again, its craig morrison. the guy has delivered on every game hes ever touched. hes never fast, but he always gets his team to get the job done right. he did fantastic things with ao, and hes made aoc come a LONG way in a relatively short time. i think at this point, hes earned the benefit of the doubt. he didnt create the problems with aoc, but hes stuck to his guns about fixing those problems one at a time. is it fixed yet 100% the way it should be? nope. has it come a LONG way from when he took over the game? yep. hes consistent, i say, we give him the benefit of the doubt till launch. i think hes earned that much.
