Number crunching was one of the best parts of AO. You could spend days just figuring out what you could fit on in terms of implants, gear, etc. It added a whole new dimension to MMOG gameplay that has barely been seen since. I do hope AoC has a good bit as well and this re-assures me. Though I'm sure it won't be nearly as complex as AO was.
