Bahz writes: Im suprised how good it is, never played it before. There is also a hardcore pvp server (no guards, player loot) Tue Dec 31 2013 6:01AM

loupokami writes: The game is absolutely gorgeous, has been since I got it back when it was released. I started and quit quite a few times. I was never really engaged, and the community was pretty terrible. I absolutely hate the melee combat system. I recently tried the game again, but I only lasted a day starting again from Tortage. As beautiful as the game is, it's just not that fun and feels rather slow and clunky. This is the only game where riding a mount was a terrible idea. I don't know if it's still like that though. Lleveron writes: This game is pretty nice and yes some of the character animations are off but that is getting looked into by the devs on the testlive server as well as fixing latency issues and so on.This game is going to get better so if you can get past SOME bad animations then you will be golden. MrToho writes: If you can get behind the combat and general game play, Age of Conan is one of the most engaging mmo experiences out there. My personal opinion is that if you’re here for the end game metagame and theory crafting, you will probably be disappointed. However, if you want an engaging and beautiful world to explore then Age of Conan is a great choice. The world is all zoned so if you hate that stay away. Two things I must recommend anyone trying the game for the first time: Firstly make sure you play a class that compliments your tastes. Finding the right class to level is absolutely the most important first step. Secondly, Tortuga sucks…work past it, the reward for doing so is an incredibly deep and vast game world to explore. Lastly, don’t pay for ANYTHING till you’re out of Tortuga. By then you will know if you want to sub/item shop and that it will be worth your time. Wed May 22 2013 11:56AM

Psyentist writes: Great visuals and a solid engine don't save this game from the stiff Korean grinder feel and limited ui. Admittedly I never made it to endgame during my stint which included the f2p switch over, however the controls became so tedious as skills and movement both required mouseclicks that nothing could have been worth continued effort. Frankly, its sad this is the fate of such an awesome atmosphere and source material. Sat Oct 20 2012 4:06AM
