Five Days of Bosses Incoming

To celebrate five years of Age of Conan, Funcom will be unleashing five days worth of epic boss monsters invading Hyboria. The event is scheduled to kick off on Thursday, May 23rd. In addition, membership benefits are being improved.

Latest Game Director's Letter Arrives

Joel Bylos has taken to the Age of Conan: Unchained site to post the latest game director's letter. In it, Joel discusses the multi-phased transition to single server tech similar to what is utilized by The Secret World. Then Bylos goes on to announce several significant changes including some PvP revamps and a delay in the overhaul of the tradeskill feature.

'Not Going Anywhere' As Development Moves to North Carolina

The latest Monthly Update from Age of Conan's Craig Morrison releases the news that development of the game will be continued by a centralized team in North Carolina. Some members of the AoC team will be moving on but Morrison assures players that AoC isn't going anywhere.

The Secrets of the Dragon's Spine Trailer

Funcom has released a brand new trailer for Age of Conan. The trailer shows off the latest game update, the first part of "The Secrets of the Dragon's Spine". In the new zone, players will find a new dungeon known as The Sepulcher of the Wyrm and much more. Check it out!

Part 1 of Secrets of the Dragon's Spine Launches

Funcom has announced that the latest update has been applied to Age of Conan servers. The patch brings the first part of the Secrets of the Dragon's Spine into the game and gives players a completely new zone to explore.

F2P Option Retooled

Funcom has announced that players taking advantage of Age of Conan's free to play option will now have new benefits added to help them enjoy their play time. Among other things, Funcom has unlocked all character classes for F2Pers.

September Monthly Update Published

The Age of Conan Monthly Update has been published for September. In it, the team talks a lot about the forthcoming Secrets of the Dragon's Spine content update. The blog lays out the plan to release portions of SotDS in episodic fashion from now through an epic conclusion to the quest line in 2013. The blog also talks about other plans that are in the works as 2012 comes to a close.

Secrets of Dragon's Spine Announced

Funcom has announced the next series of updates for Age of Conan Unchained. Called "Secrets of Dragon's Spine", the content will be released in an episodic fashion with releases approximately every six weeks. The first update is slated to be released in the next few months and will feature a desert location filled with new dungeons, quests, monsters and rewards.

Funcom's Oliver Kunz has posted the latest Age of Conan: Unchained development update that gives players an inside look at what the team has been working on for the last month. Most compellingly, Kunz talks about how the 'single server technology' utilized by The Secret World will be rolling into AoC over time.

Next Phase of 'Single Server Technology' in August

The next phase of Age of Conan's transition to a single-server technology has been dated for August 7-8th. In the next phase, both the US and EU servers will merge down into three server types: PvE, PvP and Blood & Glory.

May 2012 Monthly Update Published

The Age of Conan team has published its monthly update with the news that the annual survey is ready for players to complete. As an incentive for finishing the survey, players will be entered into a drawing for free premium lifetime subscriptions. The letter then goes into a bit of detail about what the team has been working on for the last month.
