How is the gameplay of this game? Is it like guild wars a big instance, or is it more like lineage and world of warcraft? btw, i hope that there are battlefields in this game like rome total war :P

if you want to know what its like. come to WWW.ageofconan.com and take a look after you have signed up in the forums the Dev's are telling us all they can. and its going to be like wide open places with battles for land and such. also with games that Conan him self sets up for intertanement. seeing he is king. there calling them mini games. like arena turnaments and such. all of this is in there PVP forums where most people can not see until there signed up.

Ageof Conan is definatly a must buy and i agree they arent sayin much about the rpg part except were you start on the slave ship and all

I have read on the FAQ all the quests will be very interesting. They state 'no rat killing in basement' quests so no repetative killing, Hurray. Why should there be with such a real world.
Obviously you can mob kill if you want still though too but probaly not part of a quest. Why do I want an NPC to give me a quest to mob kill when that should just be a random event like warring with a city when you want.And even that will be complex and intersting. Conan was always a thinking mans war I think. I say stick to the sotry and delveop complex quests based on story material and allot of randomness to but with allot of artifact usage or based on your abilites. |

I believe a lot of the quests will involve characters from the novels and comics that they are using as a basis... Something that has never really been done (FFxi sorta tried it I guess) was having a central story that you could advance or ignore as you choose, and this one involves you meeting with King Conan himself... |
