Meh, gotta realize that is still only one persons' opinion, just as I am only one person with the opinion at best with a 3/10... |

It all comes down to what you enjoy or are looking for in an MMO. AoC does not deliver on every level and in all areas, but what it does deliver on is worthy of 9 /10. In fact regarding what AoC does exceptionally well, it does far better than any other MMO currently out. When as a gamer you can appreciate all that the game has to offer, and that is a lot when you add up all the positives, then AoC is a great game and a blast to play. If you can't get into the Conan IP, or combat heavy gameplay, or the crafting system, or the PvP, or the community, or whatever, fine, there are other MMOs out there more suited to your preferences. But for those who play and enjoy the game, AoC is a real treat. It keeps getting bigger and better, and it has a laundry list of tweaks and improvements on the development agenda that will keep this game trucking! "The Pen Is Mightier Than The Demo" |

9/10 seems somewhat generous for me. Great value for the money, but I can't give it better thqan a 8 anyways, or maybe a 7. Even with all new content the game just feels small. |

Khitai hard instances is really tricky to do. In fact if only 1 of your team members are fucking up you are most likely going to hell. This is the way raiding is supposed to be when you are in a complex game. There is tons of this kind of content in game, and I just can't understand when people still say there is not enough. The game is frekking HUGE.
no offense :p

Umm, the game is more on rails than most. There is virtually no explorable areas and the game world is tiny...other than that it's great. |

I prefer LOTRO or DDO´s model for f2p where you can gain access to new stuff just by playing the game. If you are an ex-wow player and want to come back. Scroll of Rez gives 7 free days, boost a character to 80 a realm and faction change. Send me PM for an invite. Only 1 per day available |

From how I rate MMO's, there hasn't been a 9.0 game created yet, all fall short of the mark, and firmly in the 8.x range. Not sure why making it fremium would actually improve game play however, must be something else to make it a better title. "Just because you aren't paying doesn't mean it's not PTW." - Amaranthar |

I recently read somewhere that Funcom has about 13mio left. Can't tell if this is right, but obviously they are down to a point at which they can only afford to buy "reviews" on the less popular webpages. |

MY personal opinion is that the game isn't too bad,idk it lacked the depth in any one area that it couldn't keep me interested. If i9 had a choice between a similiar graphic game ,i woudl choose EQ2 or Vanguard and the combat system in AOC doesn't match what i gto from FFXI, same goes for the class and racial. There was little things that just told me the game was made to be a single player game, and some last ditch effrots tried to turn it into a mmo.Example i thought it looked unrealsitic and weird that certain houses were never open unless you did a certain quest then the light turned on and was open, this is a single player design, one i don't like. The whole game inside AOC just seemed like a linear path,it idid not have the feel of being designed as a mmo.I did however liek the Tortage idea a bit and that first island was nice, but idk the game just didn't make my A grade,i give it a decent effort as a single player game. Items in game seem to lack depth as well, there was just a pile of little things, that had the game VERY close to being very good. It's been awhile but i think the game also lacked crafting did it not? http://www.youtube.com/user/Napolianboo#p/u/15/rCYLLQCNc1w |

Crafting is very weak and the game director has announced the game is under the knife for a major crafting overhaul. Not just tweaking the existing system, but starting over from scratch so to speak. It will be several months before it goes live because it will shake up the whole economy, and implementing it is a major chore. But a crafting revamp is on the way, and being worked on right now. Not only has he announced a new crafting system, but he has chimed in on the game forums in response questions players have posted about it. http://forums.ageofconan.com/showthread.php?t=237842 "The Pen Is Mightier Than The Demo" |

Originally posted by TSWBETAROGS I played AoC since launch till basically january this year. As much as I liked the game world & lore I could never give the game more than a 7 when it was subscription based. The Freemium model actually restricts too much IMHO and asks you to pay for some really crap grindy content IMHO so based on the model they have now I would still only give AoC a 7 out of 10 at best. |

They should really take the time to make a good economy/crafting system, even it is only bcs AoC is the testing ground for TSW. Something modern, something that makes any crafter hook, that is as rewarding to a crafter as combat is to the adventurer, not only moneywise but also from the fun of gameplay could do AoC and also TSW wonders.
