I really want to make a Bear Shaman.  I was wondering if I subscribed for a month to be able to make one and try out some other classes and then unsubscribed after I made it if I would still be able to use it or if it would become unplayable after I unsubscribed.  Would this be possible or would I be better off just buying the Bear Shaman class from the item store and forgetting about trying the other classes?

if you sub one month, then create one of each class that you normally cant use (or just one) then unsub, you should be able to play it to lvl 80. But with the F2P rules built in still.

That would work. Just remember when you go back to the f2p option you'll only have 2 character slots open, so make sure you pick the bear shaman as one of those two.

I say just buy it but that is just my opinion.

Yeah, just buy a months sub and choose to "unlock" your bear shaman when your sub is up.

If I remember right you get 2 "slots" to choose characters on F2P, but if you sub, you get all unlocked.  Once the sub is done, you get to rechoose your 2 "unlocked characters".

You also, I believe, can purchase the ability to play certain characters from the item shop.

So you could "permanetly" gain access to said classes with your account whether you sub or not.

Bear shaman is a lot of fun though, that is my character on the new PvP server.
