Okay, I'm not saying that everyone is this game is just the best person you will ever meet but every time I play I run into some of the most helpful individuals I've ever met in an MMO. I had 80 unused offline levels so I popped 30 on my free 50 and 50 on my 30, so now I had 3 poorly geared 80s, the first thing that happens is a raiding guild invites me almost off the bat. After I was invited the first thing that happened was they created me a whole set of gear to get me started off so I could go on a raid with them. At the time I was still F2P so I couldn't do anything past T2, but after seeing the generosity of these folk I felt very inclined to resub and i'm very glad I did.

Outside of the guild that I'm in I often meet a few colorful characters with outrageous personalities, but overall everyone has been very helpful and friendly. I am of course not playing on the PvP server which from what I heard is rather brutal and unforgiving, but on Wiccana I've been having a great time. I'm not sure if anyone cares to read about my personal anecdotes but there's my experience in the new Freemium Conan with the community. I must say the game is better than ever and it still holds the torch as my favorite MMO (So far anyways).

Glad to hear that your having a great time AND found a great community. That helps loads in making a game much more enjoyable.

Well I'm glad you've met nice and decent people while you're playing. It can be a chore in some games these days.

However, I play on Wicanna, and the NPH chat is abysmal, filled with rude, sad and sorry excuses for people. I go to ask about a question, and in return I get a wave of slurs, "your mum's", the occasional "you're a n00b", and somewhere burried in it, an actual answer.

So needless to say I'm playing through Tortage solo, and hopefully as I get past these starting quests, I have better experiences.

Good for you OP. Though I had similar experiences to Zolgar. I just quit AoC and dont rememebr server I choose (uninstalled AoC) but unfortunetally I found community preety bad. I don't know maybe I had bad luck , but chat was absymal , people havent responded to questions or flamed people who were asking. Of sometimes one would get nice answer but well flame/ignore/goon answer ratio was bad.  It happens in all mmos but it was worse in f2p AoC for me personally.

Just sayin. Maybe was just bad luck or bad server.

Ya Wiccana is an awesome server, even better since the new pvp server went live.  IMO every game should make a free-for-all pvp server or two to serve as filters for all the ass-hats that would otherwise be on a healthy pve server.

I'm F2P on Wiccana and can only see the trial channel.  I haven't seen anything rude in there in my 21 or so levels.  I figured the worst would occur in tortage but maybe I'm wrong.
