this game is about middle ages. and even in middle ages peopel had clothes as u can read from history books. we can even investigate longer back and see that also on jesus time they had and the pharoh with ancient egyptians had clothes.

so this is nothing new and nothing to really dicsuss we need to move on

True, but when AoC was in development there was talk of buying hookers for buffs, there was a screenshot (I can't find) of a prostitute bent over the railing by some barbarian in a tavern. There was talk of nudity, sex, profanity and even racism in game. Now this is all gone. That's the problem, not realism. The problem is AoC hyped a whole lot of things that aren't in game or that they are removing from game, or so it seems and Funcom's lack of reply to the issue seems indicative of what's going on.

These things don't make or break the game for me, however, I don't particularly enjoy being misled. I am having fun with the game, but if FC continues with their undocumented changes and horrible support, I may have to leave on principle.

Just look at the GTA games we have today. You can pick up whores and have sex. AoC have whores but you can't do nothing more then look at them or the house or talk to them. How boring isn't that in a +18 game?

And blood effects are nothing special if you look at other games we have today. So again it's poor.

AoC have nipples and you can take of "all" cloths, BUT you still end up with underwear? Why not all the way? It's +18 right?

I find it funny when most people(read prudes) see the word mature they automatically think t&a. T&A is a part of maturity but not the only one. There is gore, lore, adult themes like drugs and alcohol, fights, war, murder, killing shit and so on. Besides, t&a never hurt anyone, well...if you ignore the religious nitwits around who need to make love with the lights off and never seen their mates naked(they exist, believe it or not). Actually I think the difference is that the prudes combine nakedness with sex(and thanks to religion, sex is sin only to be used for procreation, and hardly that), and the rest of us see nakedness as only nakedness.

Personaly I belive sex and nudity should be an open subject in any kind of expression.

Open sex could happen in age of conan, well, it can happen in open roleplaying, the major issue is, any game with open sexual content would be rated as Adult, normal game stores doesnt sell Adult games.... yes censorship is a pain.

Even expressive movies like Caligula are rejected for the sexual content.

Anyway, the so called "Mature" content in Hyboria is not just related to common softcore and breasts.
