Are the in game items such as weapons and armor ..BOP, BOE or level specific? Or will I be able to sell my trusty old sword I carried for a few levels to the next leveling hopefull or twink the shit out of my new level 1 character like I could in the old days of EQ? Thanks in advance to those who responded!

There are all that you metioned,bop,boe and yes you could give items to your "twink"

I haven't really looked into it as the trader [AH] has been offline and i've been vendering everything but i haven't seen anything bop, quest rewards don't even say they can't be traded as far as i knwo. maybe they can't be put in trade window but not sure. 99% of my gear has been from quest.

This leads me to a question i have. Do the mobs in the game also drop desent loot now and then that compares to quest reward items? Or is all the dropped loot mostly just for selling to shop keepers etc.

Its always nice to loot that surprise shiny sword or magic wand or something in the guts of your dead enemies

Yep they say "can not be traded"

well that kinda sux!  I was kinda hoping I could resell my items to anyone any level. Always loved wheeling and dealing in early EQ!

There are level requirements for weapons and armor.  However so far nothing stating BOP or BOE.  For those that dont understand those terms BOP = Bind on Pickup and BOE = Bind on Equip.  If you are in a party you do have to roll need or greed which is nice.  But sorry m8 no such thing as a level 70 giving a level 1 a weapon like old eq days (those were fun)  Especially when ruins of Kunark came out and my iksar monk at level 5 had two Jade Maces lawlcakes.

So far from what I have seen, mob drops have been equal to what vendors sell. The best gear has come from Quests. Had a lvl 1 top that I got off a quest, didn't replace it till lvl 15 when I got a new one on another quest. Yes that lvl 1 quest top was better than anything you could buy at a vendor...even better than the lvl 10 armor.

You have to remember that no-one has cash atmso yes any item players dont need normally goto the vendors,also the traders have been in active for a day now so that didnt help,this game is the same as any other it will take time to build up the economy side but it will come,at the moment you do get the item's from quests and some are very good but in time that will change.

Basically so far the quests give the best loot, however mob drops are actually pretty decent too.  Ofcourse I also have not seen a Panther drop a sword or something unholy of that nature lol.  Thank god...at least so far I havent seen that.

Yes, my guild mates got pretty nice blue stuff that dropped from mobs when they did group quests. Plus most green items can be sold at Traders to other players. The Trade system actually is pretty good.

the loot is Just like wow, even the descriptions of the colors and their meaning/ranking compared to the other colors of quality are labeled exactly like wow, same colors too

Imagine killing some crappy tribals or something, you're gonna get some garbage junk items and some gear items, the gear items are usually white, sometimes green, which leads me to believe even more rarely blue, quest rewards aren't so much above mob drops of the same color, but it just so happens their sometimes focused on a few bonuses as opposed to many, and quest rewards are almost always tailored around your class/level

so it's standard dropping, this game has so many aspects of everything.. tombs.. who would've thought!
