Around the net, particularly gaming sites, people generally have a liking for mmorpg.com. However, they also do note that the forums are nausiating. The site itself is gorgeous, informative, and easy to navigate. Then, you join the forums to be ambushed by poo-flinging mouth-breathers. Though, the one thing that bugs me is that the staff moderates in the wrong ways, if at all. It seems like the only time threads are locked/removed is when they are flame wars or contain naughty language. However, they leave open, what I like to call, stupid threads. These threads are ones like, "lol, this game is gg epic fail." All they do is demote the wellbeing of games by useless bashing. I like blizzard's way of moderating. They remove anything not considered "constructive" as well as useless opinions. For example, posting "I hate this game" as a thread would be removed. Also, repetitive posts should be removed as well. People seem to read a thread on a topic, then post their take in an entirely new thread to make it seen more widely. Anyone else think posts should be locked/removed if not constructive?

I think that the site moderators should continue to run this site as they see fit regardless of what anyone has to say (that includes me of course) |

Hey Netzoko! We do have a rule for game attacks - IE, "This game sucks" - asking posters to explain why they think the game sucks. If you see posts like this, feel free to report them and a moderator will check it out :) |
