If anything is assumed to be other than bullshit, theres something wrong with the perspective.

Looking forward to AoC, and would suggest the devs to stay awake when it comes to any cheating/botting. I would suggest to use your time to build better game code to prevent 3rd party application from controlling the game.

This is an advice since I have seen way too many mmorpg games go down the drain because action was not taken at an early stage.

We all should know by now, that time will come when grind bots will appear in a popular game like AoC after release IF Funcom is not aware of how to build their game in the most secure way.

If Funcom finds a way to make AoC cheat free, it will be an important piece concerning AoC future and player base.

 Funcom,
now is your chance to get up, and show the rest of the world by setting the standard for every future MMORPG's. DO IT!

Yeah...I'd be annoyed if there were cheaters and botters all over.

Playing: Star Wars: The Old Republic, occasionally TERA.

Waiting For: Guild Wars 2, and Elder Scrolls Online.

Mods and cheats that aren't in game bugs always lead to lower playerbase in the end.  It just isn't fun when some person beats you simply because they are more computer literate and have less integrity.

with the type of combat system in this game I would think botting would be a bit difficult wouldn't it?

I mean, with no ability to lock on to something and actually having to aim your strikes boting would be a bit of a pain. Not saying people arent gonna try *shrug*

People will try to bot, and I'm sure that they'll end up with a bot (what MMO hasn't had any bots in it?) Coding does help quite a bit, but in the end I think it is up to the player base to keep the bots out of the game.
As for their directional combat, AI can figure it out, we're past that stage in computer tech. It might be harder to code, but it'll end up working just as well. Maybe they can make it so that most mobs your level and even a bit below so that if you're not on your toes you'll end up dead. Might end up helping with end game botting.

No matter how much u code it or if it's a direct ban on botting, people will still make the bots, and use them. When u can cheat some1 is bound to try. If there is a easier way to get to high lvl, get good gear, or whatevah they will try to make a bot to do it.

I'm against botting as I personally think it ruins the game. As some1 stated before, the combat system makes it hard, and if they make better game code it will be good. The fewer bots there are, the better. Hopefully Funcom realises that no one wants a game with lots of cheaters. They should have a nontolerance against botting/cheating.

Seriously Farmville? Yeah I think it's great. In a World where half our population is dying of hunger the more fortunate half is spending their time harvesting food that doesn't exist.
