The biggest and most well know AoC fanboy "was" Special-Fred from vnboard. But about 7-8 month something went wrong. I think he was Beta or something but he switch to WAR. Never heard of this Protus before?.

You'll see him post regularly on the Funcom AoC US board, usually with the "AoC is unconditionally great, Funcom can do no wrong" message.

Dude while appreciate you trying to act like me as least get your damn facts straight.

700,000 was the last reported number of subs or people who have entered a retail key.

1,000,000 was the last reported shipped to retailers.

Anyhow They will never buy Blizz or SOE as those companies could buy out FC anyday of the week with the change they have laying around. :)

FC does not make the same cash as SOE but i can assure you they do quite well with AO amongst other things.

Dont forget that AO while free to play STILL makes money for them every month.How do you think they acquired the Conan license and developed it?

This is not the same situation as Sigil and VG.Sigil lost ALL direction in development due to its irresponsible leader and used up most of its funding as well.

AoC is doing just fine in its early stages no worse than any other mmo at release.

AoC won't get that low.

Im sorry but I have to disagree with the OP, no game developer's, no matter how low the subscriptions drop would ever let SoE take over a game of thiers.  I speak truths.

I have heard some bad things about SOE, but I think SOE would be the one lacking interest in this deal.

Shhh his posts make me laugh. They're worse than Avery's! It stands in such stark contrast to everything else...on every other board pretty much...everywhere!

 

Glad you think my posts are wrong or bad in some way. Majority of my posts are in line with the same thoughts on guild forums, tally up the top 10 guilds on each server, visit their forums and read the same stuff. If the game was bad they wouldnt be playing and they make up more than half the current subs most likely.

hehehe i have read your forums. I have many friends who are in your guild, so to say everything is hunky dory in there is a great spin..considering almost all people can only read the open to public area.

i agree...other than the Matrix, and what they and LA did to SWG....most of their games are a caliber above AoC.

 There is nothing wrong with SOE. SOE has been around for a long long time, and always will be.  And they have more or less taken piles of steamy crap like Vanguard and polished it out into the playable games they are today.

  SOE did nothing to screw up SWG, Lucas arts screwed up SWG. SOE came in and fixed it as best they could, which pretty much required rebuilding a large portion of it.

 And the fact is, SOE will not buy AOC, Funcom designed this game around the xbox360 which is a Microsoft product, which I am sure already ticked off SOE.
