Linage 1 must be vey old by now, has n e 1 heard if its going to be free?

What does the age of an game matter?  

UO isn't free.
EQ isn't free.

This game has free Episodic updates like Lineage II.
It's still an quality game, but hard to get into. You really have to play it for atleast 2 weeks to notice how fun it is.
If you are an unsocial MMO player this is not for you.

This game isnt one of those boring games where you play a mage and have level 1,2,3 and 4 fire,ice,earth and air spells. This is really an unique grinding game. A game which has been made seriously, at the time when NC was a smaller company than today.

Of course there are downsides to.   
-Bots and hackers are one. 
-Some people have alot of lag to, im from europe and experience a little lag once a month or so.
-The playerbase is not as friendly as it used to, but find a nice bloodpledge and you will have a blast.
-Some minor bugs, like a buff timer is off by 2-5 seconds, nothing big although.

This game should NOT be free.

Well. That's about it.

So... you'd rather pay than not pay? lol

This game can't stay alive if it's not P2P, so what choice do i have?

Of course id play free but the quality of the gameplay would drops ( less support, worse servers)

There used to be a 7 day trial, but to avoid banned bots from easily create new accounts, its now 9.99$ to make a new account with the 7 days. I know it's harsh and i think it's pretty dumb.

But if have a good feeling about the game, i say go for it

I think they just moved the price up to 15.00 bucks , that's steep for this game. I was reading there forums the other day and looks like around 200 online at peak time as opposed to several hundred 2 years ago when I played. I miss those days :(

LOA has around 1500 online but since only 200 is legal players i guess youre right.
Ken and Dep has around 200-400 ,but still to many bots.
