I am a mystery shopper.
I brought the game by cash.
I got reimburse by the mystery shop company by check.
I went back to the retailer and got my cash back.
Do I keep the check and the cash ?
I don't know, maybe because the game has been indefinitely postponed!?
This is pretty much a mmo's suicide for Perpetual Entertainement. To cancel a game that was nearly ready, i don't see myself ever trusting that company in the future.
Hmmm. . .wonder why this is? Maybe because it sucks?
Couldn't agree with you more. To completely scrap a game in beta testing that imo needed more tweaking and shining prior to releasing is bad PR. SWG better be above and beyond everyone's expectations to gain back some trust.
Why did SOE market a game that was incomplete? Vanguard all over again.
PE is developing STO, not SWG. And I have 0 faith that STO will ever see a successful launch unless the IP is given to someone other than PE. PE has shown themselves to be a massive failure at making mmos.
SOE wasn't developing the game and had no control over it. If someone pays you to hang up flyers all over for a concert, and then the concert doesn't happen, should you accept the blame or those in charge of the concert?
Also, SOE was removed as publisher a few months before PE canned it. Starting to look more like SOE left, than PE removing them.
On topic, perhaps PE could be so gracious as to inform the stores that are still selling the pre-orders that the game has flopped?
This crap does NOT deserve a place on the MMORPG news board. It is the equivilant of PE saying "Not our problem."
Agreed, this is a HUGE negative for them. I wonder if the G&H pre-order money went to fund STO, like... the whole G&H thing was just a scam to raise cash for the Real game that they intended to do all along. Bad karma guys.
