The Gods and Heroes: Rome Rising team have announced today that they'll be lowering the price of the box of Rome Rising to $29.99 for both the retail and digital sales of the game's core content. Heatwave will also be rolling out a new class, the Scout, next week and a new character, Batillus, the long dead arches, the will be made available to players who have purchased and subscribed by July 31st.

Heatwave Interactive is following through on its commitment to the players of Gods & Heroes: Rome Rising with a new character class, improved gameplay, bonus options, and at the same time enticing more players to join the game with a new $29.99 price point for both box and digital versions of the MMO.

“The benefit of being a small, independent developer/publisher is our ability to act quickly and make changes that reflect community preferences and market conditions,” said Anthony Castoro, Heatwave CEO. “The community has spoken and our analytics confirm that players really enjoy Gods & Heroes once they’ve experienced it. So we made the decision to lower the barrier to entry so a wider population of players can get in the game.”
