Heatwave entertainment just bought the rights to the game and engine. G&H is back, it's right on the front page of MMORPG.COM now :).

Heatwave Entertainment and it is going back in to Dev. woohooo

I liked that game the animations for fighting were cool. It just needs some TLC and time.

Assassin's like to do it in the dark and from behind.

I smell a rushed and half assed release in order to recupe their, likely massive, investment in purchasing the game+technology.

I really wish the game well, and ill try and free trial (unless its f2p), however i suspect this is going to be one of those games that will remain in open beta for some time.

Can you imagine starting from scratch on other peoples programming?  going thorough all that code that has been written by other people and attempting to fix it?

I hope im wrong about that, but i would assume that the game was abandoned due to some serious issues with the game itself, even if they say it was financial reasons, like it was deemed too expensive and time consuming to fix.

Who knows, best of luck anyway.

Yeah, I don't like this. I have no idea who this company is, and they will probably rush it out the door when it isn't ready like what happened with Star Trek.

Considering they could if they really wanted to send this game straight into Beta (which they aren't), I doubt you'll see what you fear. They have said they want to work the game to a release state before doing anything else, from the sound of it before they even begin beta. That's a good way to go about this IMO.

Remember the game was already in closed beta, they don't feel it's beta quality, another good sign.
