Gods & Heroes: The Priest Feat Tree - Levels 1 to 20

Editor's Note: The following is a tenative list of feats available to the scout class in Gods & Heroes as provided and written by Perpetual Entertainment.

The Priest is the most godly hero in Gods & Heroes: Rome Rising™ -- which is to say, they wield the powers of the gods more extensively than any other class. Because of their intense and unyielding dedication to the gods, Priests command unsurpassed powers of blessing and cursing. In other words, they are sure to be a necessary component of any group of heroes seeking to defend Rome: not only can Priests heal their group’s members, but they can also do extensive damage to their enemies. Priests are also the only heroes in Gods & Heroes: Rome Rising™ who can learn the spell to resurrect an ally who has fallen in battle. This, more than anything, demonstrates the immensity of the powers invested in the loyal Priest by his or her chosen god.

Priests have at their disposal a variety of spells that replenish the health of their comrades. “Healing” mends the battle wounds of one specific companion, while “Unit Healing” restores the well-being of the entire group or squad. “Healing Genius” allows the blessings of good health to be regained over time, which could come in very handy during a protracted battle. And if things get really dire, “Draining Heal” allows the Priest to convert all of his or her energy into health for an ailing ally. When a companion needs to be cured of a specific affliction, Priests can perform feats like “Cure Poison” and “Cure Plague.” And of course Priests have the ability to learn the “Revive” spell, which raises their fellow combatants from the dead.

But physical well-being is not the only boons a Priest has to offer to his or her group. Priests can cast “Fortify” to boost the armor of a companion, “Inspiration” to increase the damage of melee attacks and accuracy of ranged attacks of the entire group, or “Arm of the Gods” to buff the melee weapons of their fellow heroes. The Priest isn’t entirely a supporting character, either: “War Song” can be cast by Priests to increase their own offensive capabilities. All of these powers make Priests more than capable of pulling their own weight in group combat situations.

As much as Priests make powerful allies, they are just as formidable as opponents. “Boreal Spirit” does ice damage to an enemy while slowing them down at the same time, so they can be cut to pieces by the Priest’s cohorts. During a battle, Priests can employ “Sacrificial Knife” or “Baneful Sign” to inflict sustained damage to a foe, and also use “Mark of the Gods” to gain favor for each kill. In many cases, however, a Priest can see to it that a conflict is unnecessary by casting “Touch of the Gods” or “Fear,” both of which cause adversaries to become frightened and flee for their lives. When a battle is inevitable, however, “Read Omens” is a most useful spell, as it allows the Priest and his or her group to foresee immanent attacks and plan accordingly.

A party of Roman heroes is always a dreadful and frightening sight to behold for one who would oppose the mighty Republic of Rome. With a Priest in their midst, however, any party becomes much more fearsome. A Priest’s presence is guaranteed to enhance the efficiency and lethality of any group of heroes. At the same time, Priests possess the power not only to diminish their enemies’ ability to oppose Rome, but also their will to make war on Rome and her heroes in the first place. These divine powers and more come from the Priest’s unwavering devotion to the gods, for which they – and, by extension, all of Rome -- are richly rewarded.
