1. When I got on this game at 16 (in 2001), I hoped for mounts one day that'll let us traverse the lands faster. WoW has mounts, and a growing # of MMOs too. Do we have mounts NOW? If not, what's the problem with having a mount?

2. We asked about Deluxe Residential Quarters when I played AC; Devs said they'd cause too much lag so they weren't put in.

It's 10 years later. Servers have improved by Glorious leaps & bounds. Bandwidth is Far faster now. Moore's Law ran its course several times.

So how are we on having deluxe RQs (or improvements to current RQs?)

1) There are no mounts. Getting around in AC is fast already. Characters run at a ridiculous speed and there are portals that drop you off very close to your desitnation. I'm not against adding mounts, but I don't think they're necessary to get around.

2) Housing hasn't really changed since it was first introduced. There are still four types: apartments, cottages, villas, and mansions. They've added more decorations and that's about it. I think they might have added more hooks somewhere along the line too, but I'm not positive.

Mounts would give you an attack bonus because you'd trample your enemies faster.

Now, did they add hooks to the apartments? There were WAY too few last I checked.

Besides, I didn't get an explanation on why housing hasn't changed much. What's wrong with adding deluxe RQs anyway?

I found your topic on the AC forums from 6 years ago. You wanted bigger apartments? Why not just move into an apartment or villa? You did have a good idea. Since so few apartments are occupied, they could be merged to double or triple their size without affecting many people. Though I suspect some people like their small room.

If you wanted more storage, the devs still won't add more. I assume it's technically difficult and they realize if they add another chest, people will just fill it up with junk and will be asking for more storage again in short time.

We do have more slots now overall to alleviate the lack of chest space . They've added one or two more character slots the last few years. You can also use augmentations to add another pack slot to a character. You also don't need Foci anymore, which allows you to equip up to four more backpacks.
