A Realy Big Expansion! Updated Graphics! but not to high  me pc be slow.

Also Put some new Races in after all we just got the Tum/lug/human Joining forces this Month now lets make Lug and Tum toons! After all AC2 got it! and add the Allegiance chat like on AC2 That would make Geting together a TON easier!

My opinion.....

Turbine should allow players to max out their characters on all current servers.   It would allow those who started the game late to be on par w/ a majority of players.   Ohh wait - this happens already (exp-chains).  

Well, maybe if Turbine did a server-wide catastrophe that killed off all our characters - with the new ability to develop new ones.  With new creatures...weapons...armor..... better graphics/sound.  I'd continue to play.  Heck, I'd probably log in more often.  Course, the best thing they could do along with this idea is to enforce  CoC.   Bring back Sentinals that can act as customer support laisons.   

Imagine what would happen if they released something called Asheron's Call Revisited. It was basically the Asheron's Call we all grew up to love except with a revised engine. It had updated graphics (very modern graphics I might add). Next, it would be compatible with all the old servers, so but there would be several new servers with special Asheron's Call Plus content. This would be new races, areas, skills, etc. with a revamped combat system. Certian skills would work with other skills and this would form something called skill synergy. Also, every skill would have some use. Some examples below:

Special Attack: Flying Kick

Requirements: Jump Skill of 125, Unarmed Combat Skill of 140

Description: This skill causes your character to jump a very far distance and deliver a devistating flying kick for immense damage. It may only be used at the start of combat.

Special Ability: Discover Hidden Secret

Requirements: Appraise Weapon Skill of 150

Description: This skill allows your character to discover a hidden secret in a weapon, giving a weapon any number of special abilities such as an elemental attribute, bonuses to attack, etc.

They could even introduce special group oriented content too, etc. etc.

Ok, sorry for the long ramble, I just think it would be a cool idea =)

Ya that would be pretty cool, but lets face it. Turbine is working on multiple new titles right now. I think they are just going to let it die a slow, but soft death.

Maybe after a few years a small developer team with a lot of money could buy the rights to AC and make a refreshed, up-to-date version of the game, but I'm not going to hold my breath, even though I loved the game.

Now the only thing I've seen confirmed so far is a graphics update included in the expansion.  Hopefully it won't be too far in the future.

I think adding new races and skills is a must at this point.  That would be the most logical solution to really attracting new players. 

I think AC is a great game no matter what; every mounth giving it updates and new quests/armor/weapons/critters, i feel like they are slowly bringing it back to life with some of the new updates that they just had.

They are supposted to come out with an expansion this summer that does have better graphics. Im not sure what else it will add to the game but it will surely add more custumers.

The flying kick thing would go to well with me. It would turn the game ac is into ac2. I hate thoughs finishing moves and such, it would also give someone that has some maxed out skills the advantage to single hit someone maby 15-20 lvls lower than him.

I do think it would be a good idea to clear the data base and start all over again, dark tide is just full of level 126 pks killing newbs. I would just love to start all over again so that way there can be no "power leveling" and no crying vassals asking for buffs.......LONG LIVE AC

I'm a retired Sentinel from Asherons Call in 2000.  Asheron's Call has came along way from everyone doing their business utilizing human to human trading emphasis to trade bot to human to higher and better quests.  Although Asheron's Call seems to be pointing more and more to the extreme higher levels of 126-240, even when there is a cap at 126, the developers are now empowered to do their jobs without restrictions from other company's guidelines and policys. 

The game is truley going through an exciting time, as Turbine has recently purchased Asheron's Call Franchise back from said company and is really trying to improve the overall player experience.  Turbine developers are in the planning stages of adding a new developer team to soley develop the future expansion pack that will most definately add new content, graphic engine upgrade, amongst other things.

Anyone whom is wiery of Asheron's Call, or doesn't have an account will have new hopes as Turbine has every intention of remarketing Asheron's Call: Dark Majesty expansion to the masses and allowing new player base to come into play as there are plenty whom wish to come back!

Again I hope everyone is as excited and thrilled about this as myself and if anyone who doesn't currently play on Frost Fell or wishes to, is looking to please feel free to give me a tell on Marongoth, I'd love to meet you and help you in Asheron's Call anyway I can.

I think this game actaully was worth playing when it was just Asheron's Call. I mean there were fewh cheaters that I met, everyone was nice and my guild was pretty descent, we were close to each other, ACDM brought a whole new feel to the game it was good for a while, but then after a year with the new updates it went down the drain, my guild starting breaking up, the game was getting to real life, I mean the suites, fishing, and etc...

The only reason I played Asheron's Call was to get away from real life and then Asheron's Call just brings it back, so I've been looking for another game to play and that fact that I couldn't dish out 9.95 a month anymore if I wanted to buy a new laptop

AC1 doesn't need an expansion. No mmorpg needs an expansion unless there's going to be content like updated graphics so one person can choose to update their graphics by purchasing the expansion or the other can choose otherwise if they are short on money or satisfied with the current graphics. I'd hate p2p if I had to p2p+expansion costs in order to continue playing the game.

Try $12.95/month now I believe. heh. I'll keep in touch and see where AC1 goes under Turbine's supervision. If it brings traditional fantasy back and eliminates buff bots completely (and brings the old spell research back-more indepth though) then I may start it back up again. I hope they go more indepth with their crafting system and guild. They should add:1.mounts 2.swimming 3.pets/familiars 4.guild wars? 5.allow gain of exp from things other than fighting 6.make fishing a REAL skill and just not have it on your burden/pack icon 7.boats 8.customizable spells (as in Morrowind) 9.races other than those strictly resembling the human ethnic groups. There should be those resembling elves, or cat/rat people or any other creature.10. add more to character appearances. example: allow for someone to have golden/silver eyes, ellaborate braids in their hair, different heights and weights, etc. (including postures-is he hunch-backed or does he stand tall and proud?)

Adreal, I blieve they are going to be releasing an expansion with a graphics update and presumably new content, probably another new island. Maybe they will move towards the inner sea this time with the new land, as the outer edges of Dereth are already a tad cluttered with added islands.

As for your returning conditions. A little demanding eh Actually most of the stuff is what a lot of players have been asking for years. Houses, capes and horses I think were/are probably the most requested things. Houses were added in the last expansion, who knows maybe some new transportation in the next expansion? Horses or boats perhaps? Can only hope.

The only thing I really disagree with on your list is adding new races. The charm of AC for me and I think a lot of the other players is that there are no elves, trolls, dwarves, and faries. Fairy land stuff like that is best left to games like EQ. AC seems like a much "tougher" RPG than any of the other fantasy games and I like it that way. One of the reasons I disliked AC2 was because you could play Lugians and Tumeroks, which isn't my personal style. I much prefer playing male human characters, kind of like... myself

The reason I thought AC2 was weird and why I didn't like Lugians and Tumeroks being a player race is because I killed so ^*&^ many of them when I played the first AC. It was kind of weird seeing a race I slaughtered whole-sale in the first game be a potential friend in the next.

I have been playing ac for a long time since beta. The game has come a long way and it still has a long way to go IMO. We have to remember Turbine just bought it back and yes while some of the changes seem trivial and not that great they are making improvments. It will take a wJhile to get the ball rolling on it per say, i mean give them a chance to get settled. A lot has happend to the game and Turbine in the last few months. I can only beleive that they are doing what they feel is in the best interest of the game as a whole. The story line has alot of mobility and we should be seing some of that in the near future.

Expansion? Well i go both ways on the part of grsaphics. Yes becouse who wouldnt like updated graphice. No because we have to remember that not everyone has tons of money to go updating their system to support such graphics. I thnk they should upgrade but not to the point where half the people do ont have to run right out and upgrade. I think they should IMO spend more time on updateing the story line and content. While i see good coming i think with an expansion it could be great in the fact that they could introduce alot of content in a short time-without a monster update-.

Perhaps dereth could have a great flood and swimming could be introduced or something to the likes of it. There is just a huge room for movement on where they go from here but i hope turbine finnaly gets to do what they wanted to do with it long ago.  Thanx for taking time to read my ramblings. With the new expansion in the pipeline we all are looking forward to a improved dereth.

What would be really nice to see would be the item buffs speeded up as all other were in the recent update.

A full buff is a little quicker but lets do the same with item. Less time buffing more time fighting.

Of course looking forward to the expansion pack.
