I hope you know about AC wiki. That is an encylopedia of Asheron's call. HUGE and sometimes hard go get around in. They list quests there by level, starter town, and item. Tho I don't know how a new person could know what the items do. Are you finding someone to hunt/quest with? Did you join a monarchy? I joined the Bright Blade monarchy. Would be funny if we were in the same monarchy and our hours so different we never met! I'm on Alaska Standard time. In Holtburg you can click on a NPC, Sean the Speedy and he sends you all over dereth to Exploration Markers. He is very near the drop, behind the building on your left when you land. The xp for the first 20 markers is not much but its a reason to go all over (my favoriate thing to do). Go to Asheron.wikia and type in Dereth Exploration for a list of where the markers are. Seems to be somekind of glitch with them so it's best to do them in sections of 10 as they are listed there. My favoriate art is the Obsidian Span @ 31.6N, 41.2E. (oh.. there is a marker there too) There is also Paul and the Blue Ox. No marker there tho. I found a quest building that has a bathroom. LOL... the only one in Dereth. When I started in AC in 1999 we used to play, "this is what i found, now you find it." But now the area is so huge.
