Nice but if it was AC2 then i think it would be a hotter topic :) and i agree they should implement something along the lines of the station pass. |

It shouldn't bug you. When you sign up for the trial, you have to create an account. If you don't cancel after 14 days, they will charge your credit card 13 bucks a month. Sounds like an easy income; half the time people would forget to cancel and get dinged for 13 bucks. Anyways, it IS an ancient game, but one I skipped so I might try it out...good thing to fill the time in May until Age of Conan comes out since they aren't having an open beta. |

Heck yeah, I remember playing AC when it first came out. I'd love to see what it looks like with my new system. What server are you people on? I wouldn't mind a head start to get back to where I was before I stopped playing.

It's not as good as it used to be, maybe it will be re-populated if turbine gets smart enough to combine subscriptions. Can't expect them to do what the fans of the game want though... the old devs would've but the new devs are crap until proven otherwise |

A combined plan would help spread people around DDO and LotRO, but wouldn't help AC. I doubt many would move to an old game like AC after playing modern games like DDO and LotRO. AC players would be more prone to move to LotRO and DDO resulting in a further declining AC population. As others and I stated numerous times before, the only real option to bring people is to make pre-DM/original AC free to play. Sadly, I doubt it happens. Turbine cannot support a lot of new players. If a lot of people started playing again who knows how the game would handle it. There haven't been thousands of players on a single world in years. It's a lot of extra time and money to support the problems brought on by a surge of new free players. It would require programming that the current AC team appears to be incapable of. They would have to reimplement the pre-DM checks on housing, portals, and items that were removed in subsequent years. A queing system that gives priority to paying subscribers may also be needed if a lot of free players joined since the AC servers can only support a finite number of players. |
