It may not be vaporware, but most folks that have been waiting on this game, (I've been watching from a distance since a friend told me about it I believe it was in 2003/2004), likely have just given up on it.

Really by the time they get around to launching, how interested is the market going to be in yet another fantasy based, level grinder anyway? They are missing or have missed their window of opportunity IMHO anyway. Thats why they shifted focus to marketing the engine instead. Anyone can plainly see the MMO market is over saturated and has one product dominating it.  As long as WoW sits on top of the MMO market like a gorilla sitting on a fly, its a bad time to launch an MMO.

I can't disagree more.  When 1 MMO brings 10 millions players to a market totalising less before they come...they just pinpoint that the market is emerging.  Not saturated. (if they have 10 millions subscribers, they must have sold at least 25 millions boxes (more quit than stay for any MMO)...unless they lie and never have that many subs...but at any rate, this is huge)

When the Roman Empire was at it zenith, humans rights and humanity prosper.  The Dark Ages open new options and also help a lot, but not as well as the Pax Romana...this is why they are referred as the Dark Ages.

A  window of opportunity has been opened by Blizzard,  weak companies would find excuses (MS).  Great companies will try to rival WoW; or just to do their best.  The Dark Ages are also the most interesting and diversified.  From the falls of the Roman Empire we will see the rise of the Byzantine Empire quite possibly; but also quite a lot of varied and diversified lots...

After the fiascos of 2007 from Vanguard, Dark and Light and Gods and Heroes you'd think people would learn not to trust developers unless they're providing proof to back it up.    Nice to see some lessons are never learned.

LOL! I completely agree.

Reminds me of Darkfall, the poster child for vaporware.

Want to have a good laugh? Head over to the Darkfall board.

They have at least 3 posters who are simply unbelievable, nieve and gullible to a fault. Check it out for a good laugh.

Nice to see under your current alias you have been doing just such for such a long time. read up on what vaporware really means as most people just use it out of context. Both HJ and Darkfall are sandbox with limited budgets, they will release it's jut a question of when.

people who like a concept and want to discuss and enjoy it I respect. People who add no value like yourself well, those are the types I laugh at. keep up your valueless replies and trolling amusing to an end.

I don't think anyone has in "irrational" hatred of anyone. Maybe disappointment with these jokers is more like it. The game was suppose to release in 2005 and delayed and delayed. In an interview in PCGamer Jan 2007 they said they would be launching in late 07. The Simu guys said that, not anyone else.

So.....doesn't take a rocket scientist to see why there might be some backlash.

I have no vested interest in this game, I own no stocks in the company so I could care less when it launches, what bothers me is the outright dishonesty of the company. If they just say "guys we are launching in 2011", everything is fine in that case. But every year its the same thing, at the beginning they put out a brief article about how they will be launching that year, then fall off the radar for another year.

Really by the time they get around to launching, how interested is the market going to be in yet another fantasy based, level grinder anyway? They have missed no window of opportunity this game will still sell whenever it is released. Dishonesty a bit strong.... If you don't care why even post , seems to me that the dishonesty is coming from one place , yourself.

This game took too long to come out so I'm definitely not going to buy it when it finally does. Yeah, that makes sense.

Was it your April Fools joke to post in a thread where the last poster was you, fully one year earlier?

Ok seriously folks. Enough with the vaporware discussion. On the official forums they've said they will likely resume marketing later this year.

ROFL... Wonder how Draq feels about it now...

Seeing as how they resumed marketing later that year, pretty good.
