Well I don't mind traditional PvP, as I played GS3 for many many years. It was sort of like prision, but a really big prision so you couldn't know if this guy you were about to kill was the bitch of some big crazy Sorcerer that could come down and kill you so many times your head would spin. However, I was thinking of an idea that I think would be sorta nifty. It's something somewhat spoken about on the GS forums before, but I thought it might work for HJ as well. Player controlled creatures. Have a place in game that would transfer your 'conscousness' into a creature then you could go around, and wait for somebody to try to kill you and try to kill them. You could gain creature controll xp or something and be able to make better traps/locks for any boxes you drop, you could gain the use of more complicated special moves, or get higher level and be able to control higher level mobs. There would be a semi-failsafe enacted so you couldn't just let person after person come over and kill you indescriminately; probably something like auto-attack if you try to do nothing. Could do it for Raid mobs if there was a failsafe too. You couldn't choose where you went - just maybe the level range (1-10, 10-20 etc). You would probably die... a LOT... but it would just feel that much better when you finially struck your opponent down. To make sure you weren't sitting in a zone with nobody to kill you, you could select if you wanted to be able to sit around for a while (meaning nobody is currently killing mobs in that area) and level up your creature skills (by killing other non-you type creatures, putting together traps, training minions around you to follow your lead, spell them up, etc. Or you could select to come into an active battle scene or hunting area. You could get 1-2 minions, maybe have enough time to put your items into a box and put a hard trap on it, and start going after adventurers.
Anyway, just an idea I was kicking around. |
