Istaria: Chronicles of the Gifted News - New Contest

Posted by Jon Wood on Oct 06, 2005  | 0 comments in our forums

The good folks over at Tulga games have announced a new and innovative contest. In honor of the season, Horizons is hosting a mask-making contest. This isn't just any old ho-hum Halloween contest. This contest involves actually designing a mask for in-game use!

Step 1. First you need to download the (updated with dragon mask) template files!

Step 2. Open the file with your favorite paint program.

Step 3. Get buck wild but stay in the lines! Remember the Bi-Ped masks are mirrored in game, but the Dragon Masks are not.

Step 4. Save your mask in any file format, preferably .png, .tga or .bmp for better quality

Step 5. Email your amazing mask to Baela and cross your zombie fingers for luck!

TIP: A trick to making the masks look sharp is to fade the edges to black.

You might ask what you win if you make a super-duper, fantabulous mask!

Well, the winning mask will be used in Horizons at the Fall Festival and your art will be forever immortalized in Istaria!

For you greedy ghouls, we'll even throw in a spider shoulder buddy or special emblem "XXX, Masker of Disguise!

Here's the rules:

  • Your entry must be in Baela's mailbox by Midnight PDT, on the 16th of October! No ifs, ands, or buts!
  • Submitting an entry gives Tulga Games the right to use the mask as we see fit.
  • Winning entry will be chosen by B.O.O. and announced at the Fall Festival.
  • Begging of Baela, Manga, Amon, or B.O.O. is allowed!...Oh wait! I meant NOT allowed! (pssst...rumor has it that Manga likes zombie fingers and someone saw Amon with french-fried crawler legs, but I'm not suggesting bribery either!) =p
