Hi there, I just wondered what is the main way to get xp? - Is it questing or do you just kill mobs?

It depends .  The Dragon players play a different sort of game from the bipeds (all the non-dragon races).  The dragon game is much more quest-driven; perhaps that, along with flight is why dragons are the most popular race.  Many skills, both craft and adventuring, are granted as quest rewards. The two biggest events in Dragon play are the Adult Rite of Passage, (ROP) and the Ancient Rite of Passage. (AROP).  Both are complex quest chains; at the time it was introduced the ROP was perhaps the best quest chain in  MMO'dom.  The ROP takes place at about level 35-40, and the dragon leaves the hatchling form, and becomes the flying adult.  The AROP is suited for level 95-100 (?).  I was honored to take part in the early ROP quests as a relatively high level Ranger, but am not acquainted with the AROP quests in the same way.

For bipeds, there are fewer quests.  One of the dev goals has been to improve the game, starting with the tutorial and beginner areas, which have been completed.  Those have more quests than the higher level areas, although quests have been introduced at all levels since the game's beginning.  There are also special quests for the Fall and Winter Festivals, that are more fun than challenging, and are suited for all levels.

The crafting side of the game is complex, and xp there is primarily gained by crafting, although dragons do quite a few crafting quests too.  There are crafting quests for bipeds too though.

So for dragons, a more quest-driven game, for bipeds more mob-killing.
