Shot Online News - New Tournament Announced

OnNet has announced that they will hold another major online golf tournament via their golfing MMORPG Shot Online.  Contest details are in the release below:

(Sunnyvale, CA – March 28, 2005) – After the global popularity of the 1st Shot-Online Global Championship, what better way to celebrate the success of that major online phenomenon than to create a second, bigger and better tournament for Shot-Online, where Shot-Online players of all levels can participate? From beginning players to course veterans, every Shot-Online golfer can expect bigger prizes and even more competitive golfing in this championship event! Shot-Online, developed by OnNet Co., Ltd., is a persistent online sports simulation and role-playing game established in the world of golf, currently offering open beta service.

The 2nd Shot-Online Global Championship will take place Monday, March 28 at 7:00 PM (CST) to Friday, April 1 at 5:00 AM (CST). Entry into the tournament is open to all members of Shot-Online, using their highest-level characters. Play will be conducted on the challenging “Midus Valley” course.

Prize notification will be issued by April 4, 2005 at 8:00 PM (CST). Prizes to be awarded are as follows:
  • For levels 1-11: The 1st place winner receives a cool, stylish MP3 player; the runner-up receives 500,000 NG of in-game currency.
  • For levels 12-30: The 1st place winner receives a USB memory stick with a whopping 1 GB of memory; the runner-up receives 700,000 NG of in-game currency.
  • For levels over 30: The 1st place winner receives a speedy graphics card; the runner-up receives 900,000 NG of in-game currency.
Shot-Online is currently in beta in North America, is an online golfing simulation, featuring fully 3D graphics, motion captured animation, skill enhancement, golfing item purchases and exchanges and quests.
