Ok so theres not much compotition out there for browser based mmorpg's...so why not make maplestory browser based? could this be done?: easily, the biggest browser based mmorpg, runescape, is 3D, maplestory is 2D (less info and programming) Ups: 1. Impossible to hack/reverse engineer 2.Dosent take up computer space 3.Easier to update 4. Sence nothing is downloaded, graphics could be improved without increasing memory space 5.You wouldnt have to download patches 6.Could easily detect bots 7.More people would start playing Maplestory
Downs: 1. none possible

While they are both against the rules, botting is significantly easier and can't really be prevented. Hacking, however, is extremely difficult in most cases and virtually impossible in some. Runescape is one of those games in which there is no hope of hacking the system. It's run in Java on a Linux-based platform. |

I don't think it's impossible, but it's not that easy to make MS a in-browser game. The performance would be not as great as if it's a engine-based game tho. I think it COULD be possible but i don't see Nexon doing it. |
